Says the self appointed King of Gradients.

Status Quo. I think the white shorts suit Geelong more than the blue ones. Plus white with white looks more aesthetically pleasing.

Clash

Removed the Cats arse and replaced with solid stripes. Really like the inverse as a clash.

I really feel like Gold Coast should use the rays that were used by their mascot. It could become iconic if they wanted it to be, instead of just having what looks like a training jumper. The logo has been shrunk down and put under the sponsor because it's not really a good enough logo to be the main feature of the design. Also this way you could say that the sun is shining out from their hearts (I wouldn't recommend saying it though, it's extremely lame).
I thought about making a blue version but it looked too much like a West Coast jumper so these designs would involve them dropping the blue.

Nice idea in theory, but your designs look no less like a training jumper than the current one does. Maybe lighten up the 'rays'?

I'm sure none of these ideas are new. But all that shows is that they're GOOD ideas.

Essendon.

FFS, a white kit. It;s good for everyone else.

Brisbane

I want to see a clash that AT LEAST references the Bears.

Needs thinner white stripes to remove the rest of the clash, in practice

Norf

White shorts at home. Non negotiable.

Carlton

Simple changes- move the monogram higher onto the chest, make it larger, and bring back the sky blue away.

Collingwood

very simple, yet I think, effective, clash against Norf.

West Coast

WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINGS

Gold Coast.

After seeing a game against Ajax, the great Liverpool Coach Bill Shankly changed Liverpool's kit form red top white shorts to all red. He commented that when they ran onto the pitch, they looked like giants.

Gold coast should make a similar, yet far less drastic move. Ditch the yellow topped socks, ditch the baby blue, darken the red.

Red rays are incredibly hard to see. Wouldn't work unless you really make them prominent.
Fair point. I don't know how clear it is on your screens but I do think I may have gone too far on the subtle side.

while i'd love us in striped socks as much as possible, i don't like non-negotiable white shorts at home, blue shorts look way better, and whenever possible i'd like to see us in them in home and away games.
Clash should also have striped socks except against Geelong.

Damo. I like some of the ideas, and you're probably working in a raster based application, but your designs would look more realistic if you followed the patterns of the template you've used.
You got it right on the Hawthorn and North striped ones, but the rest have overlaps where the design would be different.
As an example, Sydney has shoulder panels. The shoulder panels are either going to be White or Red.
The manufacturers will not take the time to line up the vee on the clash jumper.
Same with West Coast. If the jumper has side panels, they will be one colour, the wings will not extend around, just like they don't on the current jumpers.
Same with StKilda, that Red side panel is one piece of material, it's either Red or Black, so it can't be Red on the front and Black on the back.

I'd recommend either lose the side panels and shoulder panels, or work within them.

Solid idea. But what happens on the back? Do the hoops meet at a point?
I completely forgot about the back. Just imagine the front flipped and the hoops meeting up perfectly :thumbsu:
