This is my favourite variation of their G uniforms. It looks so much better with blue and charcoal and the G acting as a big silhouette/yoke.

..New team colour with blue and charcoal may attract interest and gain member support with these colours close to the NSW sporting teams. ....Colour and style looks way better than current IMO.

How about No to any blue colouring.

Made this a little while ago, based on the Bears logo of the 90s. Similar to the AFLW but the chevron on the bottom.
Predominantly white guernseys look weak, and clubs are moving away from colourless clash uniforms. A blue guernsey as their second alternative uniform would solve all their clash issues.

A white kit would be better for the lions blue doesn't really serve a purpose so many teams with blue will barely be used i like the idea though but on a white base would be more practical
We only wear our clash 1 - 2 games per year. Maybe 3 Max if it's for a pre-season game. Gold Coast, Sydney & GWS are the only teams we wear a clash against in away games. Blue should be fine for that purpose.

Except white is a colour that can be associated with the Bears, and if designed well a white jumper can work.

I reckon for non-Vic interstate games, a Bears-inspired jumper should be worn.

This would work as a better clash uniform for Brisbane.
Ooh I’d love to see them bring out a proper version of the 95-96 preseason jumper with the barber pole sidepanels, would be fitting as it’s also the last jumper they wore in a top level comp as one of Coburg-Fitzroy’s jumpers during the joint venture.

Yeah this is key, it’s not really a matter of making sure it doesn’t clash with your home jumper, just as long as it doesn’t clash with the other teams the home clashes with- Collingwood are a really good example of this.
I’m a big fan of the Bears style clash jumper but none of your kits have a great contrast with GWS imo. Worst case is the barber pole jumper could be saved for a Retro Round if you don’t play them away in a season.

Barber pole jumper? I think you might of confused us with the Western Bulldogs. images (53).jpeg

They already wore a "Bears-inspired" white clash jumper but have since moved away from colourless guernseys, that's why blue would be a logical choice. And The Bears never wore White as a prominent colour, only barely as a small accent colour.

Honestly i think this would be GWS's perfect set

Home: 2012-2020 home with white number panel + lower charcoal half
Clash: 'Orange Team' jumper
Third: 'Never Surrender' jumper

Should have adopted this as their home guernsey, minus the sleeves with a charcoal back and maybe a white number panel or no panel.

The white was horrid. Why do a gold lion on a white background? Seems like a design oversight. Also disagree with blue, we never wore it as our main colour in home and away season, don't see a need to turn our kit into Melbourne colours. If there are issues (there aren't) we could always wear one of our other kits, like we did in the SDN round vs the Giants at home, or they could wear their NS and it would solve any perceived issues.

Except that jumper wasn't good, but least tried to tie itself to the Bears with the 'V'.

If they want to face the orange team, the Home Jumper works fine, and better if they can bring the blue shorts.

GWS wearing their NS would only work as a contrast if Brisbane wore their away kits, which makes no sense when The Lions are playing at home. And blue is worn as a yoke and was 50% of Brisbane's guernsey colour back in the 90's-2000's, Fitzroy wore almost 100% blue as a preseason guernsey. And not sure what you mean by turning the colours into Melbourne when blue is worn by many other teams like West Coast, Western Bulldogs and even Gold Coast's clash.

But that's as much as they could do with an inspired Bears guernsey with white, other than using their first guernsey with white, which would look awful.
If they want to face the orange team, the Home Jumper works fine, and better if they can bring the blue shorts.
Then Brisbane really don't need a third guernsey, the maroon and red would be enough, but The AFL seemingly want them to have a third alternative, so blue would be the logical contrasting choice.

giants will just wear the clash kit this week no? It doesn't really clash, if Sydney's, West Coast's and whoever else doesn't clash with Brissy then we will be fine

In what situation would Brisbane need to wear a clash while they're the home team? The suggestion for us to wear Roy red as the away team was in the case that there was considered to be a clash with the GWS strip if they were the home team. If the Lions are the home team then the Giants would just wear orange.

The Lions kit was never 50% blue except with a weird caveat with the paddlepop Lion that noone wants to remember. I also stated blue was never worn in the home and away season. Everyone is well aware of the barber shop blue preseason.

Your idea is fine, but in practice it changes the entire design of the kit and doesn't really serve a purpose.

You worded that way that Brisbane could wear an alternate uniform at home and GWS could wear their NS guernsey at Brisbane's home.

Or did you mean the Giants at "their" home? You said "we" twice which made me think you meant only at Brisbane's home where The Lions should alternate and GWS should wear their NS guernsey.

Not sure what you mean by never wore it, it's their yoke colour and they wore it even more during the late 2000's. Definitely closer to 50% during that era as per image.

I was suggesting in a very specific situations.

Brisbane did indeed wear a red kit with white shorts as the home team vs the Giants in white with charcoal shorts at the Gabba. And the above (your photo) is likely a photo from 2008, which was a poor choice of year to use as an example.

Regardless, your idea is not a good one.

? There's 3 seasons to observe from, from 2007 to 2009 with a big blue yoke that extended from the front to back. So, obviously Brisbane did wear blue prominently at times.

Designer choice red as a homage to Fitzroy as a one-off. Brisbane would never alternate otherwise at home.

Since they're moving away from colourless guernseys as a clash, it would make the most logical sense as a clash guernsey since it contrasts.

Mate, agree to disagree. It was also note a well received design choice.
