Yes but more recently, the numbers of ex captains and champion players have been retired for a year and/or given to promising youngsters. Giving our games record holder and most recent premiership captain’s jumper to a bit of a journeyman ruckman* is the opposite of that.
(*yes I know this is only his second club, but he kind of feels like a journeyman)
Hope not. Harry shows promise but is in the cusp of being AFL material. I actually don’t like how we don’t seem to value numbers outside of the first 10. Flynn should have never got Bungas 25 and it’s sad no worthy players got 30 or 24 etc
17 also has to come back out at some stage soon. Surely cannot go to just any regular spud.

Any thoughts on Malakai Champions number, I sort of like the idea of him having Phil Matera’s old number.

Think if Jack Williams can have a big one next year he should take it. Archer could possibly take it too
That Cox kick to Phill Matera is something else. Cox revolutionised the ruck role and now we have so many mobile and athletic ruckmen in the comp but yet no one in the last 20 years has come close to having the skill or IQ he had
