Outstanding horse race with the top two settling down to fight it out from a long way. What racing is all about over there.

Good to see him get a much deserved Royal Ascot win. Not sure which race the squib was being aimed at but there is no way he would have rolled him last night.

Yeah it's because of the rain they have had over the last 24 hours. As I said all Autumn he is just not a G1 calibre horse in the UK and needs it bottomless to be competitive so the more it rains the more he will tighten in the betting (and hence he was double figures when it looked like being firm).
On top of that its been tipped up by Pricewise which always makes them firm a few points.
How is Japan on a wet deck?

Prince of Wales's - I think the winner comes from one of JAPAN, ADDEYB and BARNEY ROY (not saying much!). I was hoping the bookies would overreact to Addeyb's Championships wins and put him up stupidly short and we would get a nice price for Japan but they are better than that and rightfully took no risk with the lads galloper who has much the best form here (International winner + Arc 4th). He might be better at 12f than 10f though? I was going to back whoever was the longest of the three which was Addeyb early but is now Barney Roy. The latter is a massive prick tease (a bit like Jubiloso who was awful last night) but his best would be more than good enough to win this and I think he should be shorter than some others in the market here. At this stage I'll probably back BR with savers on Japan and Addeyb but if Japan got out to $3 or something I'd just go all in on him.

Fine - he was 4th in the Arc on a track that would be called off here. It's not going to be that soft anyway. Good-to-soft at worst I would have thought.

Was an absolute flogging in the end. Good to see. Have to say I do love Aus racing but there’s something about UK straight races
Remember last year the coverage showed a shot of the incline of the straight. You don't necessarily see that with the standard camera. Would be testing
