Its a shame for him

Coke is a prominent part of a lot of young people and isnt something (imo) that should reflect on their character etc, people use it because its fun, but I'm sure hes signed contracts with his employers to say that he wont use it, so no real sympathy there if he loses his job over it

There are a lot of players running that gauntlet obviously though

Yeppers.
Doesn't stack the weight on like booze.

Maybe a day will come when the AFL and clubs actively encourage alcohol use with a lesser of 2 evils approach?

That day existed.

Up until the release of the Nokia in 2001 with a video camera, and then the smart phone.

“The CCC will allege the three men and one woman arranged for the supply of cocaine for personal use or to on-supply cocaine to friends and colleagues between June and December 2014.”

Wonder how many strikes were incurred by suns players?
2 strikes. AFL forget how to count between 2 and 3. 2.1, 2.2, 2.25, 2.27... Etc.

Shouldn't even be illegal in the first place. People should have the right to put what they like into their own bodies and help their friends to do the same. I believe that the discrimination that society currently practices against drug-users will one day be viewed in much the same way as the discrimination that has historically been practiced against homosexuals.

Too right. It's my right to get ****ed up on meth and glass any stupid campaigner that looks in my general direction.

4 grams what a joke.

Cops really stopped a massive crime here, sounds like someone was going to have a good time!

Meanwhile a number of violent assaults occurred in the city overnight while officers at another station filed a few more domestic violence complaints away into the too hard basket.

Can't please everyone, he should be thankful he's not in Bali. He'd be cactus!

Professional football clubs are always going to be easy marks for law enforcement agencies looking for a high profile arrest, players have a lot of free time, team environment and are highly paid.

Really??

Good to see crime authorities are focusing on the big fish. FMD, half the users on BF could probably have been found guilty of "personal use or to on-supply" of one illegal drug or another at one point of their lives.

That's what they did to Matty stokes. A bloke helping hook up a mate, making no profit, us deemed to be a supplier. I suppose it gives the police a bit of grunt to go after the real crims.

To be fair though that is kind of the point of the law. As a society we have currently decided to deem cocaine a drug we dont want anyone in the community to have access to. Yes, helping a mate score a gram isnt exactly tony montana levels of dealing, but it is still facilitating the sale of illegal narcotics and broadening the market. The bigger the market the more 'big fish' there are and the more violence and other scallywag behaviours that go on. What hunt did was illegal and from many view points immoral. It was also really really dumb. He is at risk of losing what remains of a very lucrative career, when he could wait a couple of years, do and share all the coke he wants and very few people would be interested.

Ha! He BOUGHT off somebody who is part of something bigger. Obviously. Dealers are bigger than users, by definition.

He and some mates wanted to party. Knew someone (or knew someone who knew someone). Incredibly unlikely he was going to sell anything on the money he was already on.

Hi Barney / BloodStainedAngel - for the first time ever, I agree with one of your opinions on Karmichael Hunt.

Has the Hunt / Folau cheer squad (including its president Cos789) ever acknowledged that their involvement in AFL was simply a marketing novelty contrived by the AFL?

To everyone talking about drugs being no big deal, honestly, go **** yourselves.

Im a foster parent. Ive had 11 children come live with me for varying lengths of time in the 6 months since i was accredited.

Out of those 11 do you know how many of those childrens parents had drug problems leading to them not being able to look after their own kids? all ****ing 11.

Aged from 14 months to 13 years old. Ive got 2 girls with me right now who really miss their mother but it looks like they could be with me for the next 12 and 16 years respectively.

None of their parents set out to be junkies but it happens.

Rethink your opinion on whether drugs are harmful or not.

I'm a Suns fan and a Hunt fan and I thought that was common knowledge? Why else would a club spend an exorbitant amount of money on a code hopper when they could spend the same amount to get three players who are better?

It was obviously always a marketing novelty to gain interest from NRL fans. And it worked.

Not here. Israel was ALWAYS the wrong choice.
I said all along Jarryd Hayne should've been our League target. Great kick. Exceptional speed. An actual Western Sydney boy, not a guy who turned his back on the region...Israel was a monumental stuff up. Jarryd would've given great service.

None of them are addicted to Coke though, are they? Ice and Hammer yes. Charles, no.

The day it's not seen as a stain on one's character is the day the walls start falling in. But don't worry, we're heading there. Victims/health issue my arse.
I disagree. If Jesus turned water into Cocaine, would alcohol be the illegal drug and Cocaine legal & taxed to the hilt?
Alcohol is worse than Coke.

cocaine can be addictive, can cause heart and brain damage and can be a gateway drug into substances such as opiates and amphetamines. cocaine can also kill your sex drive after prolonged use. maybe thats why so many stock brokers end up with penis pumps.

I like and usually admire your posts, but I find this one perplexing.

Do you honestly see a future where drug use is not common, or accepted?

Charachter doesn't mean much these days.
