They aren't paying him for his footballing ability, so if he gets dropped they're paying top dollar for nothing.

He needs to play every week, at least for a year or two. When Gold Coast are competitive then it can be considered.

11 possessions, 4 tackles and 2 goals as a forward compared to 5 possessions, 0 marks, 2 tackles as a defender in a defense that is seeing the ball more than normal. Id say its a big comparison to make

So 6 more touches (and he's a had a handball or 2 recently) and 2 tackles. Darlings also been playing for a lot longer.

the point being, he hasn't been terrible, just one of a large number of ypung/new players who will get better as they get more games under their belt

Even a clown can ride around on a unicycle or juggle a few balls. Its all well and good to be a sideshow but atm hes just a side. Hes put on no show whatsoever. I dont care if he commits 15 turnovers. Just do something ffs

But ones a FF and the other isnt. A more fair comparison would be Hunt and Heppell id say. Even still Darling doubled his stat tally in every column despite seeing half the ball Hunt is. Its just too stupid for words really

Really, you want to compare him to a first round pick?

Maybe you just set your expectations a bit to high for a first game player who until very recently was playing a different code

The suns have had quite a few players who've struggled, mostly the first gamers, so Hunt isn't alone there. You can't hang him on one week, just because he's not an 18 year old doesn't mean he should have higher expectations on him (even if he's getting paid quite well). Also, Bock and Harbrow have had pretty poor nights.

McKenna should look at dropping or at least ripping into Brennan and Bock personally.

No idea WTF McKenna is thinking playing Hunt on our resting ruckmen. Warnock/Hampson had 30cm on him.

Since he was a free agent signing you wouldnt compare him with draft picks. Rather you would compare him with players on that type of money at other clubs

His 1 mill a year should see him compared to Chris Judd and Jonathon Brown if we were being fair and honest about it. Judd just outshined him today id say

He didnt do anything outside the stat sheet hence why im constantly referring to it. That was literally all he did. Bock was easily Gold Coasts best defender. Guy had to play on 2 players himself pretty much to make up for his teammates

I agree with you there, Hunt was okay given it was his first full match whilst those other two were relegated to witches hats.
