Re: Kyabram District FL

Everyone here in Shep is thorougly sick of Meka's antics.

He is the laughing stock of the Albanian community up here. His short fuse has always got him in trouble as has his inability to run a raffle.

Re: Kyabram District FL

So nothing has been said on here about Stanhope having a clearance application in for Aaron James(ex Collingwood, Richmond & Bulldogs), thought that it would be huge news for the KDL and the Lions.
Think he might still have a suspension hanging over him but once he starts playing will make it very hard for other sides to stop the Lions, looks like they have left no stone unturned to try and make sure there is no repeat of the last two years. Is there a player in any of the flag challenges that could play on him?, not too many can curtail Meka and James would have a few inches on him and probably tip the scales at a similar weight.

I guess after the heartbreak of 05 & 06 Stanhope have to ensure themselves every chance at third time lucky. Will be the final piece of the puzzle IMO, 6'5" and just a huge presence means rival defence's wont go with the an already potent forward set up :thumbsu:

Get over you bore.

And very classy that you wish one of the greatest writers ever to 'die'.

Re: Kyabram District FL

so it looks like there is another person in the kdfl that doesnt mind a dust up with the crowd, when does stanhope expect him to play i thought he has a 2 year ban for his antics, with the crowd and the tribunal, only advice i have for stanhope is to bolt down all your chairs so they cant be picked up and thrown

Re: Kyabram District FL

Hows things going mate? Been getting a kick? I havent seen you in the goal kickers or best players for a while.

Missed the last 5-6wks with a back injury, boss, hope to back for VT in a couple of weeks.. How are you travelling mate? Jenga is tearing the comp a new one at the moment!! Have you caught up with Sagey lately? spoke to a few from Heidelberg and they said he's ballooned out a bit..

Hope you're well champ :thumbsu:

Massive recruit, when you consider that he played 6+ seasons of AFL footy, while Damien Yze played none, and Yze tore the comp apart and won a flag off his own boot in 2002.. Just makes the whole season more interesting.. You'd back Bodzy to stitch him up, wouldn't ya ;) Obviously he comes with a chequered history, but can't doubt his talent. looking forward to seeing him in action.

We had to wait until our new cell was built at the police station before we chased him

Re: Kyabram District FL

Match report for Rushy v Lancy (for Cosby)

Massive game for both clubs, but we got a few early goals that had us up and about, and with Jake Lloyd having 5 marks inside 50m (4 of those contested), and kicking 7.1, was probably the difference. Keiran Brennan stitched Steve Cail up, and Lanky broke down badly across the half forward line.. They ended up having 44 inside 50's compared to our 36, but we kicked a goal 46% of the time we went in their, compared to their 25%. Clearances were even. They were well served by their older brigade in Carver, Pell and Mad dog Morgan. For us, Rassie had 28 disposals (the lowest he's recorded this year), and Sammy Parker, back in for his first game, was sensational. Another massive game for us against the swannies this week, disappointed Gig didn't do us a massive favour in knocking Undera off on Sat..

Noticed young Sammy at a few of our games over the last few weeks, when we found out he wasn't playing a few guys were keen to put a Navy Blue one on him. Good to hear that he's playing again!

As to the reasons why he was at Kat land? Well lets just say that he didn't stray too far from the netball court!

No good about the back mate. Yeah Im going ok, tore my calf against Mooroopna the other week, so missed the Rochy game and we had a bye on the weekend. I hoping to be back playing this week. Jenga is going reasonably well, but was well beaten in his last game. As for Sagey, what can I say there. He has piled on the weight and looks more and more like chief wiggum everyday. I went to watch the Heidelberg v Monty game and couldnt believe how fat he has got.

Hopefully your back on the track soon enough to get Rushy into the finals.

Very strangel for a club like Stanhope to recruit someone like him. Has the potential to blow the club apart and undo all their good work. Would have being better suited at ardey

Give the bloke a go, hasn't even played a KDFL game yet and the rot has started.

Have to agree with you Doona. Being a Stanhope boy but playing at Sunshine for the last few years, which is in the same comp as where he played for Albion, Have seen him first hand. Out on the ground he can get a bit distracted if he is gettin beaten early, but if he is on he is very hard to stop. After games and such he was always a pretty quiet reserved sort of a bloke who ya could have a chat with also. Overall he seemed like not too bad of a fella. When you look at the Mainland and you have Pearcey coming out of FF with young Maggot beside him, throw in James & they have a FF in the same sort of mould as Exell when we one the flag in 2003, with the quality of two good leading forwards. Too be honest I think it could be a really good thing for the Lions. And hopefuly for their gate takings also..

Re: Kyabram District FL

You say this Skut but we all know ur very fond of the Stanhope football club. They could recruit Meka and you would think its a good move!

Bodzy's mum would be the only person that would think that but she hasnt seen him either.A step ladder would be required as Bodzy is only 5'1

Correct doona, hope its a good game but we will need to get our act together after last weeks effort, should be a great crowd and a good day for all, none of this would have happened without the efforts of their coach Mark Patten, good bloke and a great club, will certainly return the favor when asked,CHEERS:thumbsu::thumbsu:

Yer it was a good idea by Violet town and a promotion for the league maybe a night game at Stanhope in the early rounds of next year could be a goer.
