Re: Kyabram District FL

Bit of rough luck losing Jones in the first game mate. No doubt he would have been an important player in the midfield with those other guys not playing. Players you've recruited look ok but would have been better adding them to last years list rather than replacing. With those guys plus Thomson, Thomson, Andison, Grills, Moon, Parsons, Mitchell, Parella, Ryall you'd be looking at a pretty good outfit with some depth in the scooby doo's as well. what's peter hall doing this year - is he helping out with the coaching or having a run in the two's - what's his involvement?
Yeah, no doubt those players last year would of helped but thems the breaks.
Jonesy was having a great year so far (night series, etc) and we were keen to have him in the middle as much as possible as he is a determined little bugger. Very disappointing for him and us.

Crackers is concentrating on his business and his kids sports ( little ath's)

Re: Kyabram District FL

He has a calf injury at the moment, although I'm not sure if it will sideline him. He still takes the best defender every week and provides a target.

Lol of course it wont sideline him, he doesnt need a calf for what he does. Dont get me wrong though a very good forward and one of the best i have seen in country footy.

Re: Kyabram District FL

Hey Bodz playing in the backline of course mate had our first game of the season last week, very hot standard of footy over here. Yeh all the paper work is going to be done hopefully before i head back home. Good to see you boys firing so early means theres no walk up starts this year.

Re: Kyabram District FL

My tips for round 3 lads:

Lancaster v Violet Town (24pts)
Yea v Murchison (58pts)
Rushworth v Girgarre (42pts)
Stanhope v Nagambie (86pts)
Ardmona v Merrigum (41pts)
Tallygaroopna v Undera (32pts)

Thats some good damn tipping Bodzy#32 Margins for most games spot i think.. Im tipping Gigarre as my smokey this week. Big call but if it rains there almost unbackable.

Is that you harry potter? You've tipped Lancy and you're a tigers fan (not a happy one i'm tipping). Just a note mate - it's not a text message so you don't have to write like it is. Ever heard of spelling & punctuation?:p

How would a calf muscle keep him out - he's played without a heart all this time. And you don't need a calf muscle to take a dive and have a whinge to the umpire.

Re: Kyabram District FL

Can anyone tell me how James Shepherd from Ardmona went last year??

Re: Kyabram District FL

couple of interesting transfers on the kdl website boys. first, timmy richter has been cleared back to murchison. pick big up for the hoppers. berneard groom has applied to go from vt to nagambie after kicking 10 last week in the magoos. and finally, dipper wilson has applied to go from yea to broadford. pretty handy addition there doona.

Re: Kyabram District FL

Big Bernie Groom's brother in law plays at Nagambie so there's the connection. Must be in good touch after 10 last week.

Big Bernie "The STUD" as we called him at VT was in fine touch last week, is very strong and loves to throw a bloke hard to the ground when he's got a hold of them.
Great bloke to talk to in conversation

What was his reason for heading to Nagambie Bodz? Thought ya's had a handy back-up big man stashed away in the 2s there as insurance for later on in the year.

Tongue in cheek there obviously Bodz, as we all know Big Bernie is very hard to understand when he is talking. Well I couldnt understand him at all last year. The funniest thing was watching Big Bern try and sing the club theme song after a victory. He just mumbled away singing his own song, I still doubt if he knew the words at all. If you have to happen to ask Bern about a greyhound, he will chew your ear off for a decade.

I am starting to question how much 'researching' you do in comparison to 'teaching' there bodzy. It is obviously paying off though cause your future looks bright. Not sure of your students...We might have to tee up a match Nagambie Vs Numurkah

Yeh your defenitly right there doon. I'm not sure for the exact reasons so i can only guess that it might have been that he wants to be playing senior football and maybe was a little dissapointed to be in the magoos last week... But as you know you have to reward the blokes that have put in the hard yards on the track from day one or otherwise you can upset more than just one player...

Nailed it in one, you've obviously had the pleasure on more than one occassion....
No hard feelings on the clubs behalf anyway, all the best to him at Naggas and i hope he goes well and he's quite welcome to come back and hit the track and put on a VT jumper at any stage
