Is there any retired AFL player that cares more about their former club than Arch? Definitely NOT. We all should be so greatful for what he has done for our great club.
The Other Dean just want to say an individual thanks, mate. I spoke to you by PM a lot at the time and you literally put your life on hold. Cool as **** getting called a “real nut bag” by one of the most nuts people in the entertainment industry, but I just feel like a is in order here, too.
Yep, still on the couch and very unlikely to move for another hour...On Fox again now...
Always enjoy new posters on this forum. Welcome Aboard. :stern look

Yep.
Kind of felt like the fight started at the end of the '07 season and ran until Dallas Brooks Hall, when it had been going on for a hell of a long time longer than that behind the scenes. It was brewing since 06, with Duff and his merry band of campaigners.
And I'm not overly comfortable with Mark Brayshaw, who essentially turned down the GC because the numbers didn't add up. I couldn't have given a **** if they were offering us eleventy billion dollars in unmarked bills, you shouldn't even need to consider it. Needed more of his retrospective membership.
Get a Ron Joseph statue at Arden Street. 100 foot high. Smoking a durrie.
It was quite amusing as well reading the Roosistence Gig thread written by TOD and when he was called up on stage for his moment in the sun he was in the pisser having a slash and totally missed it!!!The Other Dean just want to say an individual thanks, mate. You should post here more often.F me dead the Mark Bradshaw retrospective memberships!
Remember the ‘nostril above water’ quote? You can see why the AFL was certain they had him.
It was a really tough time to be a fan. We were getting smashed from every angle and getting smashed from within.
Heath makes a great point in the radio interview - playing games interstate for years and ******* with the name - had made fans complacent and disengaged. We were ripe for the picking.
Thanks for holding up that sign well before anyone was properly talking about this Arden. You were the canary in the coal mine in a lot of ways.
Exactly RB. I'll never forget the time Arden rammed a Lobster up the Duffman's Clacker. The Duffman soon got it. :stern lookF me dead the Mark Bradshaw retrospective memberships!

What is the "Job" upto these days? :stern lookWasn't Mark Brayshaw working for Stephen Head (one of the relocationist board members) at the time?

Thanks for all the feedback on the doco. Tomorrow we will post it on the website with a full credits sequence.
I'm aware that so many people on this board contributed in so many different ways and although it was hard to squeeze everything into such a small amount of time, i've tried to give credit where credit is due on radio - especially to the BigFooty crew. I hope the doco conveyed the fact that it wasn't just one person who saved the club, it was everyone ...all of us .... if the members didn't rise up, JB would not have succeeded etc.
I've always admired the passion of the people on BigFooty, and although I don't always agree with what's said here, I respect you all have an opinion and care enough about North to voice it.
Bit inappropriate man.
Never forget.

I still have a good laugh over that post. Kudos RB for the 69th time. :stern lookTo honour your return from the wilderness RB, a re-posting of your POTMillenium.
It's a horrible thing to consider, but yea, what if we really fell off the cliff in 07 on field?2007 itself was just as important a year on field for our survival.
Boomer had his best ever year. Spud played as an undersized full back when Hay retired.
Arch went around one last time and Drew stood up in the absence of Thommo.
Those 4 will always be remembered fondly for their onfield heroics as playing those 2 finals at the G - it stirred the passion even more that Melbourne is our home and we werent going anywhere.
If we had a year like 2006 I reckon we were in strife.
