So who is replacing Cahill then?
Also, isn't this the first public acknowledgment from the club that Cahill is stepping off the board?

This current board is being run like a personal fiefdom by a handful of CV padders.
Exactly this.

What would Tredrea actually be able to do to the board?

I thought the gossip was that Cahill was no particular fan of Hinkley? Supposing anti-Hinkley Tredrea replaces anti-Hinkley Cahill and quickly becomes head of the anti-Hinkley cabal, what corporate governance levers are there for him to pull?

A lot of people see his anti vax stance as a negative. While I don’t necessarily agree with him about that, I think it shows that he’s prepared to stick to his beliefs in the face of opposition. Not a bad quality to have if he’s a board-member.

That and he knows Ken's a shit coach.

Which is different to the current wank.

He's not, but I reckon Tredrea's faith in "doing his own research" betrays the same character defect that we've come to enjoy so much in Koch.

I take your point but Tredrea is applying for a football-based role - a role he has an extensive background in

It’s like denying Djokovic a tennis-based role because of his covid views. Makes no sense

I think this is exactly the quality we despise in Koch.
If, as we suspect, he is anti-Hinkley, we don't want him just caving in to the likes of Koch. If he’s going to be like that, what’s the point of electing him anyway?

I reckon it's closer to denying Djokovic a spot on the AO organising committee on the basis that his being an outstanding tennis player is not enough to overcome his relative lack of event planning and management experience.

He wouldn't be on the board to count pennies or plan events.

He'd be there to pressure the football operations

I am disappointed that there is not a former player on the Board.

AFAIK there's not even anyone who was ever involved in football at any level on our board.
