Lancy have lost a truck load.. Gum have lost their 6 A-graders.. Plus plenty more.. Gig have picked up a few more than handy players that will see them not far from the finals depending on their draw..

Avenel and Stanny a belter first up. Maybe Stanny at home but no surprise either way. Undera, Tally, Murch, Nagambie and a close one between VT and Rushy I reckon. Maybe VT just at home.
I'm hearing avenel have up to 6 senior players out thru injuries this week? Any one shed any light on this..

Yer Normo practice matches haven't been nice to us this year , not sure if 6 will miss , 4 yes with 2 others 50/50
So what did we learn today? Nagambie will be hard to beat. Tally have strengthened quite a bit. Lanclustre might have to get used to seeing their final score as one they once had by quarter time. Longwood could win the most games yet since joining the KDFL. Stanhope keep paying out to come second (all good in the racing game where prizemoney pays for the chaff), Avenel are still on the up and VT and Murchison could join them, Premiers in any year can't afford to lose four or five top players, and Rushworth could win more games than in the past two years combined.

Have just seen that Greg Sidebottom passed away umpiring Ardmona and Undera today. Heartfelt condolences to his family, both clubs involved, the GVFUA and spectators.

Absolutely terrible news on the passing of Greg Sidebottom
Greg would come out during Reserve matches and speak to club umpires very positively about what they were doing and even try and "recruit". Definitely fostered the game from his impact as an advisor to umpires in general.
Devastating news about Greg. Sensational guy. Respect and integrity. I was only lucky enough to get to know him over the past 6 months, and it was impossible to not admire his passion for the game and people (and stories! and was beaming for Eleni Glouftsis' opportunity). Able to relate to and with anyone and has made an amazing contribution to the local community through the many hats he wore. Sad 
By far the most tradgic, unexpected, heartbreaking event I have witnessed in football!!
My heart goes out to Greg's family, friends and fellow umpires (especially those officiating alongside him today...).
Everyone at the ground, those who assisted at the time as well as both clubs handled the situation very professionally and respectfully..
Certainly puts life and our game into perspective!
