Avenel's thirds numbers looking very good, probably 26 on the track I noticed, get a few of the lesser likes that can't make the Seymour thirds side. They are always boy's that are happy to play for the opposition on game day if they are short, which is good sportsmanship!

Do your Tabilk buddies need a few of these players?

Chimney season is about to take off. In 1989 Gringo and I had 3 players for Undera 3rds at the start of March and somehow produced a team every week. Hi Light, of those days was Gringo and Fossil's interactions as opposition coaches.
Good work. Hope you and all teams get the numbers. Was Fossil still a fossil back then or an actual dinosaur??? Was talking to a bloke the other night who was historically involved in umpiring OMFNL. He believes that the KDFNL produces some good quality footy which was pleasing to hear. I suggested that perhaps the reputation of old was fading and that having a few older GVFL players coming across and the 16/17 year old players getting consistent Senior exposure was helping to lift the standard and profile.

They do look to have added some footballers with reasonable CVs.

Hopefully Longwood don't have the same issues this year with the points cap. It was farcical they were unable to field their strongest side last season.

Did hear that Longwood are turning away players because they are out of points. Sad to see a club get punished for trying to get competitive. Situations like this were Longwood has to bring in a lot of players is where the points system lets them down..

They should just get them if it fits in the cap and have some cover if they get injuries if not a couple play in Reserves. But agree the old way of not having too worry about points or cap would have suited them better. Hearing Tally might land a couple more yet and Undera a couple as well to make them a touch more competitive than last year.

I'm a tally bloke doc, and just wanting to know who the 'couple more' are heading out tally way?

Chopsticks I believe McKluskey is one that hasnt put pen to paper as yet but will and I can't help you with other names. You happy with how things are shaping up?

Yes heard that too, wait and see. And they boys are looking pretty good, that's my opinion each tn their own.

Yeah Clucky will be at Tally, the big fella is a gun and great bloke 2 go with it!! Not sure if he is signed but playing with Adam Brassil (also a gun) a major draw card for him!
Have built a quality list out there over the last couple of years which also looks sustainable with most being mates outside footy!!
The midfield is shaping as one of, if not the best in the league? A top end ruckman would well and truly make the redlegs a genuine contender in my opinion!

They will be really strong in the midfield and will have good depth but Im not sure they will have the scoring power that the likes of Avenel and Nagambie have. Will be an excitjng Season for the Tedlegs though.

All they need is someone deep forward that can kick straight if the midfield is as strong as it looks (they will also get goals out of their mids) and the ball spends enough time down there and delivered lace out!! And avenal (McCarthy) and nagambie (HTL) were examples of that!!

Dangerous to write off a Champion so to speak! That being Nagambie with 3 flags the last 6 years plus being up there consistently and a couple of big come from behind Grand Final wins. They will put in a couple of clearances yet and still be a decent shot of being there on the big day.
