Well done to the Gig guys who took control of the dance that took place in the shed on Saturday , from a opposition person l thought they handled the situation perfectly.
Did you have a birds eye view? Have been told about it but I'm sure it's about 10th hand and has had a fair bit added, enlighten us ?

Yeah I had a good look. Was just a few locals that had had a few to many bundy/jack cans and broke into a verbal then physical affair. Gigs president tried to break it up then was confronted by one of the lesser like fellas. This went on for a couple of minutes. Was broken up and some fellas made leave. Could have got out of hand. But was dealt with well

My tips this weekend,
Lanky to just edge out avenel by 15 points.
Nagambie to thrash murch by 80 points.
Merrigum to account for rushy by 65 points.
Stanhope just over girgarre by 5 points (game of the round).
Tally by 130 over longwood.
Violet town to make light work of undera and win by 160+.

Avenel have a better top end than Lanky. Swans by 17 points. Nagambie by 68 over Murch in the Shepp News today it said they we're vastly improved? vastly improved on what? they would be a similar strength to last year. Merrigum by 9 points over Rushy. Hopefully Gig can grab a big scalp to stay in the finals race but there is no evidence of it Stanhope by 60. Tally by 90 over Longwood they have a few coming back from injury who will need a run under their belt & Maddox has LWood playing much better than they we're in the first half dozen or so games when sides like Rushy & Murch we're blowing them away.

Nagambie by 100+ against Murch.
Merrigum by 45 over Rushy
Stanhope by 50 over Girgarre
Tally by 100+ over Longy
Avenel by 5 goals at home.
VT by 130

With the Stanhope game and them having their premiership reunion from 07 just out of curiosity would anyone be playing in the game tomorrow who played in that flag 10 years ago? Maybe Hank you could shed some light? Craig Emmett did he play in it

Off the top of my head, Craig Emmett (think he missed one of 07,08), Adam Auld, Brenton Gray and maybe the invisible man Al O'Reilly as a 16yr old.

Let's have a chat about the weekend boys. I went out to watch the Mighty Redlegs and I know Longwood will finish in the bottom couple but they were impressive. Lots of pace teamed well and had plenty of goal kickers Was impressed with Muggleton he kicked 5 Tim Karolidis does alot of heavy work Sidey was back in Dougie Wren played well the list goes on. There in with a shot this Season. Girgarre took it up to Stanhope in a step forward. Avenel were inaccurate around goal but survived the Bats challenge who are a bit better than results early showed. Nagambie we're pushed by Murch. Vt ruthless against Undera been no improvement at all since sacking the Coach. Rushy flogged by Merrigum the Tigers are going terrible. What did we see lads?

The Avenel & Lancy game was no where near as close as the score board showed. Avenel had 63 inside 50's to Lancasters 30. Little skill errors and the obvious of kicking 19 behinds. Although lancy were able to kick quick goals once they broke avenels lines with pace from the Likes of Hill. Pettigrove is the best all round ruckman in the comp. Does it all around the ground as well as his tap work. Was a big game in regards to ladder positioning. Another one this weekend against Murch over at hopperland.

Tally signing Goodwin back from united and Shepp east 2016 premiership ruckman will help them as well.

Very even over the field that's for sure and will only get better with 3/4 to come back.

we were a mess with 14 seniors unavailable and had 8 double up on the day but sometimes have to do that to get 2 games going.
2 byes now for the senior group have come at a good time.

Tally were great helping out with a few juniors at both footy and netball to ensure everyone got a game.

Cam Holdsworth should be a great pick up as well . Find it hard to believe you could have 14 walk up starts out. I do think you guys will beat Undera next time you move the ball well on occasions but defensive actions we're sadly lacking.

Avenel have done a great job after being slow out of the blocks will be interesting when that patch of games against Nagambie Stanhope etc comes around again.
