Well he achieved it kicked 26 today what a great effortWhat’s the chances josh Mellington kicking 26 goals against Tally this week he’s sitting on 74 after 8 rounds a century in 9 games would be some effort
100 is a good effort at any point but against sides anywhere near contending he kicked 1 vs.Merrigum 4 Vs.Avenel & 6 vs.Dookie who are unlikely to play finals. Yet to play Nagambie, Lancaster, Stanhope and Murch. His impact on their Season at this point despite murdering a few bottom teams hasn't been significant.Well he achieved it kicked 26 today what a great effort

Great point fly, a lot of fwds go to town on the bottom teams to really pump up their season stats.
Does he play further up the ground against the better sides?
As a point of interest, how many flags has mellington played in? 2 I'm thinking, one at Benalla, 1 Albury, and Albury was a shoe in that year, is he worth the cash? Or are you better getting 3 players instead of one
After earlier discussions on here are we sure He actually kicked all these goals today or for the year???? First time poster on this thread, but thought I would give my two bobs worth. I see some clubs continuously copping some massive floggings in a 15 team comp. What are people’s thoughts on bringing in a team like Broadford and having a two division comp with 8 teams in each division?
I'd support it I think it makes sense for both the pace setters and the battlers to be playing in their weight division. Also means one more Premier each year and keeps interest in the Top Division until the end of the Season with those trying to avoid relegation. Higher Cap/Better Standard as well.l was actually talking about this today ( not broadford) but division football , people don’t want to play for the sides getting beaten by 200 odd each week , unless there is a way the club can build out of it.
Bring a few teams in split the league to 2 by 9/10 , winner comes up,last goes down but it seems we are a long way off this happening
Think you are marking him a bit harsh I think 4 and 6 against good teams is still a good return, how have all the other key forwards in the league gone against quality opposition?100 is a good effort at any point but against sides anywhere near contending he kicked 1 vs.Merrigum 4 Vs.Avenel & 6 vs.Dookie who are unlikely to play finals. Could run like the VAFA, bottom two in Div 1 demoted, top two in Div 2 promoted.First time poster on this thread, but thought I would give my two bobs worth. He might end up kicking some bags against the good teams but at the moment only 11 of his 100 goals have been against decent opposition.Think you are marking him a bit harsh I think 4 and 6 against good teams is still a good return, how have all the other key forwards in the league gone against quality opposition?
more than half of those came against Dookie who are running at around 1 goal for and 5.5 against the past two weeks, and thats with the addition of Rhys O’Sullivan since VT played them.He might end up kicking some bags against the good teams but at the moment only 11 of his 100 goals have been against decent opposition.
Yep we will get a much better idea in the run to the Finals of his value.more than half of those came against Dookie who are running at around 1 goal for and 5.5 against the past two weeks, and thats with the addition of Rhys O’Sullivan since VT played them.
There doesn’t need to be any movement or changes, just one club needed to move to the KDL, Two divisions, 8 in both, 16 game seasons play each other twice, Grand Finalists in Div 2 go up, bottom two in Div 1 go down. Perfect scenario, gives your Longwood Ardmona Rushy the opportunity to push for finals in Div 2 straight away after not being near finals for some years, removes regular 30-40 goal floggings.I agree that their is room for a 3rd district league in the Goulburn Murray, but in my experience leagues will only ever evolve through clubs moving across leagues over the years. A wholesale restructure will be met with resistance as it is the clubs within the leagues that have the say on any changes.
The KDL is getting closer to the format used in neighbouring district leagues, which could allow for clubs to consider their best fit in the future.
The KDL geography moved south from the 1950s and east in the 2000s, which has almost put Shepparton in the centre of the league.
This is interesting as the VCFL tried to set up a GVL Div 2 in the late 1990s across the same geography, which failed.

Unfortunately will be without Luke O’Sullivan for the rest of the year with a broken collar bone. Felt for him, and definitely wished him well, great fella and good defender.more than half of those came against Dookie who are running at around 1 goal for and 5.5 against the past two weeks, and thats with the addition of Rhys O’Sullivan since VT played them.
