The article did clarify Pickett didn’t officially request a trade but has indicated he’d like a move. To be fair he is happy at Melbourne also. And showed that by signing a long term deal. The start of a family has probably pushed forward the moving to WA plans.

Nah I don’t know where Warner wants to go. But if Pickett is a lock to Freo next year then they won’t also be getting Warner. Unless there’s some shuffling of other players out. So it would be a formality.

To have a shot at Kozzie and Warner I reckon we would have to:

- retire Fyfe, Sonny and Aish. (Probably going to happen anyway)

• trade out Cox.
• trade out Switta.
• trade out Darcy.

If we were a ruthless club we would make the moves needed.

If we trade out Cox and Switta, Darcy is going nowhere. Plenty of cap space at that stage, and I'd argue we lose out in the aggregate on losing those 3 for those two.
