Hawks Away - Loss
Geelong Home - 50/50
GC Away - Win
Port Away - 50/50
Richmond Home - Win

Lions are better and fitter than last year with more experienced and versatile players. Can see us beating Geelong, GC, Port and Richmond for shear fact we have a good midfield that has plenty more heart than those teams mentioned.

In saying this if we come away 3-2 from these games I will be happy. Any less than 2-3 I will be shocked.

When was the last time you beat us at the Gabba?

And penciling in GC as a win... keep dreaming mate...

Would be very happy with 4-1 and could live with 3-2.

In theory, every game could be a bit of a challenge - would be most confident about the Dogs game at Etihad.

GC - never played them at Metricon. Question over their potential - will they make big strides in 2014?
Carlton - Have had our measure for a while, would be a big tick if we can beat them in r2.
Dogs - improving and we don't play typically our best at Etihad. Could lose if we don't respect the opposition.
Pies - another team to have the wood over us. Thought we might have a chance in round 4 last year but we didn't live up to the occasion. Some people writing off their hopes in 2014 but I'm not convinced they will struggle.
Brisbane - we play well against them both up there and down here but with Leppa on board, will he be able to exploit our game plan with some inside knowledge?

Sorry buddy but you are kidding yourself if you think that Gold Coast and Richmond are definite wins.
Not a chance hell. I'd say 50/50. And that's being generous.

It's the easy option to think St Kilda will beat Melbourne and GWS and then lose the next 3, but I'm hoping we play the kids early, and a young team will take a lot of confidence from 2 wins even against opposition we have the wood over, so I think it is entirely possible we could jag another win in there, the likeliest being Adelaide for the only reason that it is at home. I can't see us beating West Coast in Perth, and I'd rather not speculate at this stage as to Essendons possible situation.

Realistically, we will be 2-3, but we could be 3-2 or even 4-1, though that's probably pushing it.

Just rechecked the draw, Jeannie must have unloaded some brown paper bags to Vlad as we have our 3 bunnies in the first 4 rounds.:D

2 wins in a row against PA is hardly bunny worthy, and Melbourne have been so shit they don't really count

What's wrong with penciling in GC as a win? We've beaten them every time since QClash 1. As far as the first 5 rounds are concerned, anything is possible.

Hawthorn (Aurora) - Most likely a loss, premiership hangover? Loss
Geelong (Gabba) - Miracle on Grass 2? 50/50
Gold Coast (Metricon) - We should continue our domination over them. Win.
Port Adelaide (AAMI) - Two up-coming young teams. Should be a great game. 40/60
Richmond (Gabba) - With Leppa on board, will he be able to help us target the weaknesses in Richmond's game plan? 30/70

Gold Coast's midfield should tear Brisbane's a new one. Ablett, O'Meara, Bennell, Swallow, Prestia and now Martin, who supposedly was better than the Jaeger Bomb in the juniors? How will Brisbane stop them all?

If Brisbane rock up to AAMI Port are 100% chance of the win.
