Hard to see Kasia losing from here. Puck didn't look that great today. She hung in but there was no attacks like previous stages. The fallout of this race with Demi and SDW is the biggest story of the race. Even without the crash, hard to see her winning by a minute on Alpe du Huez over Kasia this year.

Not when Vollering is still a chance.

It's time for these women's Grand Tours to be 10+ stages long. 3x Flat, 3x Hilly, 3x Mountain, 1x ITT

Couldn't watch, late start time and working early today. Girls have delivered again. This race and last year's Vuelta Femenina have to be 2 or the best stage races I've seen since following cycling for 10 or so years now.
The final 55kms was probably the most exciting racing I've seen, I think the virtual leader changed at least 20-30 times with Niewaidoma, Vollering and Rooijakkers all leading at various stages, and it was impossible to know who was going to win, even after Kasia crossed the line because it was so close.

Totally agree, eight stages aren't enough for a Grand Tour, needs to be a minimum of 10, perhaps even 12.

Only saw the last 30 mins but wow, what a finish.

10 stages is good because it can start on a Friday and finish the following Sunday, assuming they scrap the split stages in a longer race

Split stage was due to Olympics tbf

Aussie Gigante finishes 7th. A brilliant performance in the final stage.

It was not a brilliant performance because she lead the Kasia group up Glandon and then lost 4 minutes on the descent. She descends like a WT pro and she finishes with Realini.

And yet she moved up 10 spots in the classification to become the first Aussie to finish in the top 10.
