well there is no point in Asking because everyone has their own taste in music. Dont bother asking mine, I reckon my list is much worse than any of you lot. I got slaughtered by fellow dockers fans to even mentioning it.:D

To your lot's credit though, McPharlin has great taste in music (compared to those 18 players anyway). I also loved how a couple of years ago we got Eskimo Joe for one of our membership ads. :D

My completely subjective review:

1. PHIL DAVIS | The Naked and Famous - Punching In A Dream - great
2. JOEL SELWOOD | Oasis - Wonderwall - cliche
3. MATTHEW BOYD | The Rubens - Lay It Down - good
4. RYAN O'KEEFE | Birds Of Tokyo - Plans - above average but overplayed
5. JACK TRENGROVE | Hunters and Collectors - Holy Grail - not this again, has been played to death in afl circles
6. PATRICK DANGERFIELD | The Presets - Ghosts - above average
7. JOSH GIBSON | deadmau5 - Ghosts'n'Stuff - good
8. TRENT COTCHIN (Richmond Tigers) | Coldplay - Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall - average
9. JOBE WATSON (Essendon Bombers) | Metronomy - The Look - good
10. JED ADCOCK | (Brisbane Lions) | Coldplay - Paradise - average
11. JACK ZIEBELL (North Melbourne Kangaroos) | Erick Morillo & Eddie Thoneick Ft. Shawnee Taylor - Live Your Life - good
13. KIEREN JACK (Sydney Swans) | Swedish House Mafia - Don't You Worry Child - good but overplayed
14. NATHAN BOCK (Gold Coast Suns) | Rudimental - Not Giving In (ft. John Newman & Alex Clare) - average
15. TRAVIS BOAK (Port Adelaide Power) | The Used - Caught Fire - average
16. DARREN GLASS (West Coast Eagles) | John Butler Trio - Revolution - above average
17. NICK RIEWOLDT (St Kilda Saints) | The National - England - great
18. LUKE McPHARLIN (Fremantle Dockers) | Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah - completely out of place here
19. NICK MAXWELL (Collingwood Magpies) | Collective Soul - Shine - as above

I tell ya Channel 7 certainly do love playing Foster the People when they cut to ad breaks and what not

A bunch of young men who have presumably been in the popular crowd their whole life, most of the time has been spent practicing and playing sport rather than finding their ideal musical expression, selecting songs from popular artists.

I'm not expecting anyone to start paraphrasing David Bowie here.

Still, there are obvious ones (Eye of the Tiger, TNT) that do not get a mention, you wonder if these blokes are looking out for their image more so than what actually gets the blood pumping and heart racing.

And to put it here, the 2 times I flogged a song to death prior to playing a game of football was Alter Bridge - Metallingus? before a Grand Final and the score music from Gone in 60 seconds when Nic Cage puts his jacket on and does his "I am a baaaad man" for another

Lol at people not liking Ziebell's song. It's a top house track by legendary house dj Erick Morillo hahaha.
Anyway Ziebell's is probably my favourite on this list as well as Josh Gibsons.

I was a bit surprised with Mcpharlins though. Being a docker, I half expected him to to an ACDC song Due to Bon Scott did live at Freo. Pity the SA captains didnt choose a cold chisel song as well.

Let's face it, if they wanted "rev up" music surely they would listen to The Prodigy and Rage Against the Machine. "Breathe" and "Bulls on Parade" would suffice.

Well id rather listen to them than the smelly dreadlocked skinny leg hipsters who have a radio station that only works on Triple J

Both sound terrible.
