Hello Qooty enthusiasts,
Today I am announcing the official renaming and shift in direction of what was previously known as the TFLUA-Tiger Award. Following some robust discussion within the Committee Room, we came to the conclusion that the award required a major pivot in order to build prestige and relevance.
For a while now, the TFLUA-Tiger Award has struggled to establish an identity with no real consistent defined criteria/process and the fact the award is named after a 96-game former admin with a dubious run that various Hall of Famers have protested against. ( namely okeydoke7 )
In order to change the perception of the award and provide it the honour with a more defined purpose we have decided to implement a new process for determining who receives the award and a new name.
The TFLUA-Tiger Award will hereby be known as the SFACA MVP going forward.
The purpose of this award is represent a recognition of outstanding Qooty performance in positions that may not necessarily be rich in statistics like the midfield or full forward. An award that is for the everyman, the role-player, to address a gap in our awards structure so that those who do not play in the most attractive positions are no longer chopped liver come award season.
This will mean players who play the majority of the season in the following positions will be eligible to receive the SFACA MVP (yes Headless even the interchange players could be recognised).
1 : During the season we will compile playing statistics broken down by playing position - maintained in this thread
2 : The Committee will analyse the statistics and engage in a discussion on who the best performers are in each of the aforementioned positions : short-list 1 for each position
3 : 3-2-1 vote by committee the short-list.
This will be an award 100% based on Qooty performance with no consideration of posting output.
Danke schon
