You know what this all really comes down to? Whether the AFL feel like boning Sydney, and/or Adelaide, more than just sweeping it under the carpet and pretending like it didnt happen.

The AFL seem to dislike both Adelaide and Sydney (especially Sydney). They dont seem to dislike us, more treat us like their little bitch.

If they want to f*** with just Sydney they could simply ban Talia for half the year. They want to rob Sydney with aynthing to do with trades so I can see it happening.

Take home message - this has nothing to do with what happened or any real attempt at a transparent and justified investigation.

Comes down to the names also.
I have a feeling if AD was still in charge there would be hell to pay.
But with gill he likes keeping the players on side and sees himself close to them all. He wont do anything.

Nick Maxwell will be filthy if Talia cleared. While Shaw was done for betting Maxwell only had a chat to family.

It seems like such a long investigation, even with the players oversees excuse just to have found nothing. It's approaching 40 freaking days now.

Love the Players association and Pickers. It was just a chat about football like they do every other week. Ok f*cktards, they don't play each other's teams every other week! It's not an elimination final every other week! And if Michael was telling his brother our plans every other week even if we weren't playing Adelaide, then he should be shot anyway!

Now watch the AFL slip through the not guilty verdict while everyone is distracted by the fixture....
One of our trips away is after the bye as well. And we don't play Norf after travelling to Perth for once! A bye after the Freo game helps as well.
fargy is demonstrating your point TBOW ... he's distracted already!

Obviously moving quite a bit quicker than the AFL does.

You have to wonder why this would take so long. Seriously they are not investigating a double murder. It just can't take this long, it's not worth all the effort surely? This should have put to bed within a week.

Can near guarantee that the report was given to both player and club - now its entered the afl stage managing and spin doctor area. Either that or dogs and talia are negotiating what the public message is going to be.

Proof that there is no transparency. If the verdict has to be reviewed, doctored, agreed and "spun" by all parties, then the paying public (whose interests are surely part of what's at stake in this) are being denied the full story and access to the evidence. We will probably have no way of knowing what REALLY happened.

If it was happening under any healthy enquiry system (e.g. parliament or a law court) we would have access to whatever has been asked and testified by witnesses. Conclusion: the AFL runs its own systems and processes for its own ends, not for the public.

You can't possibly not think this is the case. Is the AFL a public company or a private enterprise?

Is there anything we will even get out of this if it is proven that something went on?
It will be an opportunity to show they care about us and that justice will be done :p

Not for profit organisation. They behave like a private company in how they manage their public image and do deals behind closed doors. It's a tricky balancing act but I contend they can do more for the public. A lot more.
The AFL's constituents and the people who make it viable and pay the exceutives salaries are ultimately the paying public.

Pretty much what I've been saying all along.
It's not conspiracy theory if it's demonstrably true.

Can't believe Swans would have drafted Judas without getting a nod from AFL House. THis thing has now dragged into that window that unless you are a Bulldog nobody else care's less, expect to see a little announcement tucked away in the corner of the sports pages.

Pretty much, but i will actually lol legit if it comes back he did do something and it can be proven. Both he and Crows get screwed and we get validation of sorts. Then everyone else can stfu with our whinging and excuses.
