The whole point of true crime forums is to speculate based on the very little (and often inaccurate) information we the public have.

Speculate for sure but not find individuals guilty prematurely

Let’s not jump to conclusions based off limited and maybe biased reporting (see bill Spedding)

At this stage it appears there’s enough to consider the mum, dad and kids as suspects or an accident. If it was the mum, who is to say we even know why, she could have been a victim of sustained DV, just because families are religious doesn’t mean they are angels.

I guess all I am saying is there is an easy conclusion to draw based off what we have seen reported but we definitely don’t have all the facts.

I agree with the theme of your post completely, but I'd prefer you left the bold out.

If the Asian Grocer evidence is complete BS, can/will Mount Waverley Asian Grocers sue?

‘Unhelpful’: Top cop says mushroom chef’s media statement was ‘unhelpful’

'August 17, 2023 - 4:12PM
...
According to the statement, dried mushrooms purchased from an Asian grocer in Mount Waverley were used in cooking the beef wellington. The statement also confirmed the incorporation of locally sourced fresh mushrooms in the dish’s preparation.

Glad we're having some fun with this, so here's my story from the early 70s!

US : living frugally in a flat. New neighbour of similar means moves next door. He has a little plant in his back yard so seems cool.
HIM: (one sunny morning in the carpark) "What yah up to today"?
US: "We're going to -------- forest. You into mushies"?
HIM: "Ooooh yeah, l love 'em."!!!
US: "We've got a really good spot so there'll be heaps. We'll be back by 6, how many do you want"?
HIM: "I love em man, so as many as you can spare".
HIM: (knocks on door at 6pm)
US: "Heaps of mushies today"! We hand him a big newspaper parcel. He's really excited and opens it on our kitchen bench.
HIM: "These aren't mushrooms, they're f----n toadstools you idiot! You'll get sick. I had me frypan out and bought butter and everything"!

Old crazy days....

Forensic psychologist Tim Watson-Munro has never seen so many red flags since the French Revolution, a Liverpool home game, or a Split Enz gig.
Just the same red flags discussed in here.

'Sound of silence tortures mushroom meal mum

...
Forensic psychologist Tim Watson-Munro, who built the base of his career in the grime of the old school Parramatta Gaol in Sydney’s west, sees “red flags’’ everywhere in the case of the death cap mushrooms. “I’m not a big believer in coincidences,’’ he says.
...
It is clear police are very quietly going about their business investigating the case and that the more pressure Ms Patterson is under, the better for them.

There is no rush. This is an investigation that is being conducted one task at a time. Drip, drip, drip.

Mr Watson-Munro says police would be looking for points of weakness and the slow, steady approach would be tactical. “It is a fascinating case. Everyone is talking about it,’’ he said.
...
It is also clear the families of the dead have been told to keep their silence.

The family PR spokeswoman has been told there will be no comment and the community around the dead and sick have also kept their distance.
...
In nearby Leongatha this week, two young baristas at Le Cafe were bemused by the story. It has spread across the world via The Times of London, the New York Times, Washington Post, Al Jazeera and South China Morning Post.

“It’s on the news in the US,’’ one girl mutters to the other.

Her colleague responds: “My dad rang me about it and he’s in England.

“Everyone’s talking about it.’’
...
It might be quiet at Gibson Street in Leongatha but it’s not at the homicide squad.'

This has shades of the high country murders where the police used the Under Investigation show to put the pressure on Greg Lynn til he cracked. i’d imagine they have Erin’s house and phone under surveillance in the same way they did with Lynn, just waiting for the right breadcrumb to be dropped.

she's already admitted to lying to the investigators. plenty of crims will admit to a lesser lie if they think it will hide a bigger lie.

i think it's perfectly reasonable to want to throw away a dehydrator that may have killed people accidentally, but that's not her reasoning. i'm starting to have trouble following what she actually has said in 'statements', she says she threw it away out of fear her kids would be taken i think?

which grocer? did you pay by cash or card? how much did they cost? how many? how did you cook them?
if my watching of police interview-rooms on youtube is anything to go by, they'll hammer on with the above and draw out inconsistencies. it's hard to internally keep track of stuff you've made up.

It’s 100% certain her phones are bugged..

Not to mention she didn't actually go to the tip closest to home, but when to an alternative tip.

She has the amazing ability to cry without shedding tears.

It was a bit weird when Erin was sobbing and she wiped her eye, then looked at her fingers to presumably check if there was any tears.

She ended up in hospital too for a night apparently and which was kept from the public for a while but I'm not sure when, if it was after she was alerted to everyone else getting so sick or around the same time.
