You would have to be impressed with Nathan Foley's ability to win his own ball in the centre. Aganist us 2 weeks back he won quite a number of clearences, very impressive, wish we had a tough nut in the centre that could get us going forward.

Agree. Foley was good specially when we had no ruckman for the game.

at least 3 positives i think

1. Axl Foley
2. Steamer Hughes
3. Dont have 2 go 4 the next two weeks....

Im a Melbourne supporter, watched the game and I think it was a diabolical performance, but Foley was very good, seemed to be the only player that played with real purpose and heart, I guess Richo did too, but Foley's a good little player. Hughes looks promising, White runs and O-Nicholls showed a bit in the second half, but geez I thought we were struggling, you guys are in for pain while the kids get stronger

nothing...

there were positives out of todays game.
The usual suspects had their files stamped at last.
As long as we have inept senior players who are supposed to be professionals that perform at their optimum level week in week out, purely on pride, making ridiculous errors and half hearted chases, and ontop of that, have supporters tout them as our guns, then we are going to go nowhere.
Take note Bowden, Pettifer, Hyde, Johnson . If the brains trust havent worked it out yet then I start to question its nouse.
You see, right now, the people that get paid top dollar because they can see more in players than the average supporter can, hence go out shopping for future talent, didnt shop for Daniel Wells and Lance Franklin. Now they were ours if we wanted them, and they are not. And players like Pettifer etc are still getting a game. Can anyone see a pattern? ;)

Seriously guys, i am a big admirer of the tiges.

It is such a strong, proud club with passionate supporters. However, i think there is a positive/ several.

Continue to maintain faith in terry. I think he is one of the best coaches in the league and although tonights performance for you guys wasn't acceptable, the coach can only do so much- he doesn't have a controller like on AFL Live 2006 to direct players in what the should be doing. He is and will continue to get you guys out of the rough.

You have an exceptionally talented yound list. watching tambling burn scott burns in his first game of footy was some of the best footy i have ever seen. Deledio is judd like in his potential, meyer is a solid onballer. Your list is developing. Terry and Greg Miller have really established a strong core of talented 18-22 year olds. With more experience, they will be good players.

Where you get let down is your core players. Guys like tivendale. You have too may of those blokes, yet with out them at this stage of your lists development you can't do without them because you would get belted every week. Terry and greg are in a comprimising position, however once raines, foley etc are more experienced, they will be able to rid the club of those guys.

Back your adminstration, football department, players and coaches. The foundations are there, you just need some patience tige's fans.

Trust me, i am a collingwood supporter and i have seen some rough times- but we have faith and stand by the boys no matter what!
