Time for some house cleaning.

1) Do not drag discussions or individual posts over here from other threads or boards.

Feel free to respond to those posts wherever they were posted, if you so choose.

2) Enough with the personal attacks. It’s a long season and this one may go the distance, so if you want to remain a part of the discussion, do it respectfully.

We will use thread bans and infractions if necessary.

He can play any line at an solid level, enough to be in a good teams best 22 because they dont have very good players in all the midfield/flanker roles.
He is a utility, jack of all trades but very good at nothing. Handy in a rebuilding side to fit him around whichever kids you have, or in a good side to cover for a lack of depth in certain roles.
Hes hardly your first choice mid/hb/hf

The only reason he would be good for the Eagles, is because our depth is still building with so many young guys and we are forced to play some spuds. Not an urgent fix though.
So much wrong with this post that it would be a waste of time correcting you.

This is why I've always said he wont be at West Coast next year. He'll be a Docker or a Tiger
If you think Baker would be the main part of the Eagles rebuild you clearly don’t watch footy.

If it happens it just another step and going by this board a decent one, they way his current team supporters talk him up.

Maybe re-read my post mate. I said he won't be at the Eagles

People are a bit too stupid also to realise other picks can be involved so things like pick upgrades can occur

Pick 23 + 2025 2nd rounder for Baker + 34 works in all reality. Probably brings worth to closer to pick 15-20
Whilst you factor in F2 and presume it to be of same value as your current 2nd rounder thats not valued as highly in reality
Picks in current draft are always valued higher than future draft picks specially ones from teams that finish lower in 2024 like eagles so the points system is not a good guide to judge value

Maybe re read the post you quoted saying this is the reason why he won’t be at the Eagles mate.
Nah I only quoted part of his quote. The part where logic prevails. He doesn't suit the stage of the Eagles rebuild, they're at the early stage of it. If I was an Eagles supporter I wouldn't want him, not that he isn't a good player, it's the fact they'd have to give up good draft currency to do so. They need to go to the draft instead. I'm not really sure what we're arguing about anyway

Carlton will be top 2-3 for a few years so at best pick #15 maybe but id rather trade them into this years 1st rounder like brisbane and get 5-6 kids in 1 year earlier
Ok I will throw up another scenario. Would you trade picks 22 and 29 for bulldogs or Brisbane's or freos 2025 1st rounder if you knew that your side was gonna get a pick between pick 9-13? You probably would.

The fact that Richmond has 8 or 9 picks in this draft, I can understand why Liam Baker needs to be kept .

Have a crack at least. Eagles fans are being told they're undervaluing Baker. Tell us why.

Im going to have a lot of fun ;)
A dynasty certainly buys you a lot of confidence with supporters. Though, ironically, I can only describe WC giving up pick 15ish for Baker as an incredibly arrogant list management move. I suppose on total history, that club as the right to be confident in itself as well.

I just dont believe west coast / Clake are as unwilling to split their #3/#4 as their supporters believe
They are heavily into busslinger and will want to bring in young talent as well

There really is no standout Harley Ried types in the top 10 players in this years draft
if its the eagles its either 1 of the picks when split or #23+F2

Freo is easier and will be the pick in the middle of your 3 picks

Yeah and I still think, as WC supporters seem to, that that would be unbelievably stupid for where they are at. Definitely an easier trade if Freo

Yes it is easier but all depends on the $$$
Which WA club offers more , If its the same he will select eagles imo

* If eagles even make an offer , for all we know he might have just met Clarke to have a coffee as they spend 7 years at Richmond and would have drafted Liam

Not sure that aligns with your % ratings because there is no way we offer more than WC.
