Quick questions...

Can't remember what we did last year. Do we still do weeks through the finals series?

And does our season "end" or will there still be a roster over the summer for cricket etc?

Not sure I mind either way just curious

Bob and Belgo up this week.

After this weekend, that's us completed 3 full cycles on the roster.

I always thought we'd wrap up the club for the year on GF weekend (reckon we need an offseason) but am easy with whatever. We can:

1. wrap up after this weekend (remembering we still have $100 riding on a cats/pies final) - the downside to this is that we still have some of our earlier free bet winnings to turn over before they are capable of withdrawal. Of the $325 won on the earlier free bet, we've probably got another $140 to turnover;

2. keep going for another full cycle, 2 at a time;

3. after this weekend, try and jam all 15 punters through in the 3 weeks of the season that would be left. The spend vs time frame on this scares me a little, but at the end of the day, we need to turn over the rest of the earlier free bet winnings anyway.

Let me know your preference and I'll run a tally later in the week. Cheers.

You could always increase the bet values - giving winning punters first dibs at another shot?

Doesn't seem to be a turnover timeframe in the small print Grim, so what you propose is definately an option.

I would suggest doing every one again for the three weeks of finals at $10, which would cover off on all free bet turnover. (5 Each Week)

Then at end of season we could have a wrap up and give some options for final kitty - Player Sponsorship, Payout To Bettors, Etc.

I've watched a lot of Brisbane games this year, and been blown away by Matty Luenberger, then with your position on the ladder.. traditionally a player of a team in the bottom bracket recieves a maximum amount of votes 5-7. Matty is paying 50$ for most votes for brisbane, so i chucked a pineapple on it, my friends think ive lost it but is it that farfetched?
from memory his two games against the goldcoast were phenominal, excellent in the tigers game when we won at the gabba, finished off the season strong... id like to hear your thoughts on if he is a chance, and also other games he is likely to poll in.

The pineapple is a bit rich for my liking but at 50s he's one of the more likeable smokies in those lines. Most I'd go is a Blue Swimmer But I really couldn't go past Black - proven vote getter.

Was thinking about including Italy at the line vs the Wallabies as the weather in Dunedin is supposed to be horrendous, but I can't take anything in the first week of the RWC, plus the weather could be a few hours late in NZ Feel free if you're game though!

I am sure Lace_out's layoff quinella plan is the smartest thing to do with Bob's $10.

But I sat back (after a few Friday after work bevies) and thought, hmmm, what would Bob do in this situation? Summoning my inner Bob, I figured he'd lose it.

I also figured that Belgo's wager looks the goods at the moment thumbsu, but there's only 1 AFL game in the remaining legs. So, for entertainment value alone - one Bob inspired 6 legger has now been placed.
