Regarding ticket sales/swaps: The AFL Grand Final is protected under Australian law by anti-scalping regulations, which forbid tickets to be sold at more than 10% of their face value. Offering tickets at more than this will be deleted; continuing to try to scalp tickets will result in bans.

BigFooty does not guarantee ticket sales or swaps. It is entirely at your own risk, please make sure you trust the poster in question. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

I’m a little surprised that the best seats aren’t allocated to the top band of fans first. So priority 1 gets the best categories, then 2, then 3’s if there are any tickets left.

Segmenting it further (priority 1’s who have been members longer or have paid more) seems like too much.

Is it possible that a level 1 standing room ticket is considered a higher category than a level 4 seat?

sounds like something Ticketek would do

Shoukd

Should be a seat though, not standing

And should be allocated before P2.

Apparently that is not happening with pies which presumably means it won’t happen with us which would not be a fair system

If i get a bad category fine thems the breaks. If i am standing room but a p2 has level 2 seats that’s just a stitch-up

To be fair you have the option to elect to include standing or not when entering the ballot. Some people don't mind standing I guess. Not me, I excluded it. These legs are made to sit anxiously while watching footy!

I included it and am regretting that a bit now.

I didn’t do that because the club recommended not to. I wonder if the guaranteed P1/September member include standing room tickets - ie it would be possible to miss out altogether if you don’t select standing room.

My impression is they have it as an option for people who can't stand through a hole game/require a seat so don't want everyone selecting that option as the reality is some will need to get allocated standing tickets.

I perhaps made an error but club say to do the double

If the system was run properly it wouldn’t matter - p1 would get a seat. It sounds like the system is doing strange things and putting p1 in standing. And from available evidence it might be those in bigger groups, which are more likely to involve kids

I think this could really blow up and rightly so

Hard to make sense of what's going on in Collingwood land but there are multiple Priority 1 members complaining they missed out on tickets when they are supposedly guaranteed.

Others saying that clicking the "no standing tickets" button knocks you off the guaranteed tickets but that's just speculation.

All being equal if you've paid for a membership level that includes guaranteed tickets, done everything properly and don't get any, you'd be justified in being filthy.

Yeah absolutely. Anyone who is a P1 should get a ticket. That's how the system is designed.

I don't buy ticking no standing means you don't get a guaranteed ticket either for that matter. Imagine an 80 year old man ticking that and not getting a seat because he can't physically stand for a game. Just doesn't make sense and doubt the system would have it rigged that way without warning.

My understanding was selection 'no standing' as a p1 meant you may not get a ticket.

We did include standing to promise getting a ticket, but don't want standing.

If they had anxious pacing up and down tickets however ....

Had a quick random scan of the Collingwood board finals tickets thread, some not happy chappys on there.

Collingwood seem to have a LOT of membership categories that guarantee finals tickets. I wonder if they couldn’t meet that demand.

My brother gets the membership communications for us. But I can’t contact him so am a nervous wreck. So let me get this right, is the only communication received today a text message saying the ballot will be today? Anything else?
