I know this is unlikely to happen.. but imagine the delicious irony if Martin features significantly in the Brownlow count on the basis of his second half of the year, but wasn’t in the preliminary squad of 40 for AA. Rocky and Hanley are going to get a lot of votes in the second half of the year, so I guess the best Martin can do is pick up 6 or 7 votes. Still has the potential to highlight the weakness in the AA process.
PS - AA slection would be a nice acknowledgement of Patfull's body of work. I dont expect it to happen though.
Getting Brownlow votes has very little relevance to AA. AA is about a consistent season wheeled Brownlow's can be won based on 7-8 standout games.
