If you think my opinion's biased, then you really have a problem.

Tarrant's not in the league of Lockett/Dunstall/Ablett, that's a fact, how's that biase?

You're the idiot who doesn't get it

Silvagni, in his prime, would unmercifully thrash Lloyd.
Would he let go long enough ? Lloyd toyed with "sos" prime or no prime, are you saying that "sos" was carried later in his career ? You may be right as in his last few years manton got Lloyd, due to Lloyd continually beating silvagni.

Bah. Silvagni/Southby/Regan vs Ablett/Lockett/Dunstall would be so much better.

SOS in his prime would easily beat Lloyd. Look at how he demolished Carey and Ablett in the '95 finals series... are you saying that Lloyd would "toy" with Silvagni at his prime? BS... based on what I've told you, Lloyd would be a picnic compared to Carey and Ablett. Yes, there were times when both Lockett and Dunstall kicked bags on SOS but there were also times where they were ineffective against him too.

Here's a nice fact: Silvagni was never in his prime when he was playing against Lloyd... was still a bloody good FB, but injuries, age and competition were getting to him during that time. If Lloyd ever faced SOS when he was beating the likes of Carey, Lockett, Ablett, etc... Shaitan's statement would be valid.

Oh and BTW, Thornton is doing a better job at beating Lloyd, better than Manton ever will.

Bad thread.
If Lloyd played in a crappy team where he was the only target like St Kilda or Sydney, or in a one dimensional team like Geelong he would kick 100+ goals every year.
Do not forget styles have changed and there was no socalled flood back then.

Tredrea and Tarrant could easily play in a team where anyone of the other four was the FF.
They could easily BOTH play in a team where anyone of the others was the FF.
They could easily both play in a team with Carey as well. Part of the reason they are so good is their versatility.

another stupid thread from The Clokes.
Only a Magpie supporter woould include 2 overated players like Treadrea and Tarrant in the company of superstars.
What these two ever done, Tarrants had one good season, and Trdders is so over-rated it's not funny

It was certainly the wrong thread to bring in Tarrant's name...

Treadrea, however, is currently the best CHF in the league. Better than Brown, Richardson, Petrie, Rocca and anyone else who calls himself a CHF.

Um how do you mention petrie , richo and rocca without even bringing up a forward who's better than all them in barry hall!

And yes you are right tredrea is the best chf going round!

So you're saying that Tredrea is the best, but Barry's better? WTF!

jeez, lloyd kicks a goals with a feed of misty, herd, wamaramalamdingdong, etc... when locket kicked his first century gun players like danny craven, skeeter couglan and brett bowser giving him feed...oh and some guy called winmar!

if plugger then stood in front of the feed dunstall then or lloyd now have, he'd kick 200 plus!

He hasn't got much to beat in this list of CHF. Which begs the question, why the derth of good CHF today, is the position not as valuable as it once was?

Poor old sos would not be able to do anything but hold on and pray, a bit like 1993, one of his "prime years" ???? Grand Final day, Paul Salmon, 6 goals, primed.
