West Coast will coming in 2024 not this year.I said this a few months ago but I could see West Coast going to Sydney and offering pick 1 and 19 for McDonald and Warner. I mean Sydney would say no, but I could still see West Coast offering.

Which is a shame because they really don't have anything of value.Getting two players like that in a trade is a pipe dream. WC would basically have to give up everything of value.
You’d probably pick the WestCoast ten because it would give you a competent and improving ruck in Williams and a decent back in Barass. Fix those two areas and Port should be in the reckoning for the next few seasons. You don’t need Warner so much with your existing young midfield brigade, and McDonald is still working his game out.If I had the choice between adding McDonald and Warner to Port Adelaide or the best 10 players on West Coast's list to Port Adelaide, I'd genuinely have to think about it.
Oscar Allen is better than any forward Port have playing at the moment.Which is a shame because they really don't have anything of value.

Yeah no flipping way. Pick 1 and Barrass for Mcdonald? Logan isn't that good.McDonald would be worth every bit of what the likes of Luke Jackson and JHF were traded for last year. You'd have to throw a first rounder on top of Barrass to even get Sydney to the negotiating table.
I don't mean to shock you but there are picks in the first round other than pick 1.Yeah no *ing way. Pick 1 and Barrass for Mcdonald? Logan isn't that good.
Barrass, a top 5 key defender in the comp AND a first rounder. Hate to tell you that's still overs for Logan.I don't mean to shock you but there are picks in the first round other than pick 1.

I have no ties to WA besides the team I support and I'm not alone in not hyping Mcdonald. Doubt you would find a club offering what Freo offered for LJ or Port offered for JHF for Mcdonald on exposed output. The isolation of WA sometimes comes through in posts like these. Barass would be a top 5 key defender in WA, not the competition.
Also Barass on average misses a quarter of the season and has never played 22 games in a year.

If Port still had our first rounder this year and next I'd offer it for McDonald in a second.I have no ties to WA besides the team I support and I'm not alone in not hyping Mcdonald. Fair enough, wrong poster. I still think my point is valid, poster was making out like Logan is a generational talent (has now deleted the post comparing his value to JHF/LJ).I didn't post anything about McDonald's valuation.

Agree but I'm not trading him for that if I'm the swans, would need a big 2024 to get his value anywhere near it was draft night. So when did McDonald do anything to suggest he's worth anymore then a second round pick? Is he any better then Amartey? If he wasn't a high pick noone would be talking about him
No I haven't you bellend, it's right here.Fair enough, wrong poster. I still think my point is valid, poster was making out like Logan is a generational talent (has now deleted the post comparing his value to JHF/LJ).
Is flat out lying a usual argument technique of yours?McDonald would be worth every bit of what the likes of Luke Jackson and JHF were traded for last year. You'd have to throw a first rounder on top of Barrass to even get Sydney to the negotiating table.
No current season stats available
It's not about stats that put him on par with Coleman medalists, or the fact he's progressing normally for a KPF.A bunch of very unknowledgeable football fans in this thread not understanding how key position development works.
Logan McDonald is 21. He's kicked 1.6 goals and 0.5 goal assists per game. Do we want to go through what the last few Coleman Medal winners had at the same age? Charlie Curnow at the same age had 1.7 and 0.2. Harry McKay had 1.6 and 0.2. Tom Hawkins had 1.4 (goal assist stats not recorded). Jack Riewoldt had 1.6 (goal assist not recorded). Jeremy Cameron slightly higher with 2.1 goals per game but also less assists with 0.3.
If you don't think Logan McDonald is tracking just as would be expected for a future star key forward, then you don't understand football. A second round pick! ******* lol.
Honestly? They are just stacking him up against Amiss. Personally, I think McDonald shapes as a very good KPF (40-50+ goals consistently) without the inherent traits that can take him to Curnow level. Still a handy player and you'd pay a high price to get him though a Jackson price tag would not be worth it IMO. I'm also pretty sure he's never leaving SydneyA bunch of very unknowledgeable football fans in this thread not understanding how key position development works.

I'd quite happily give up a couple of firsts for Amiss too. Gun young key forwards are the rarest commodity in football.Honestly? They are just stacking him up against Amiss. Your leaving out one thing, those players you mentioned took the number 1 key defender most weeks. I'm not saying McDonald is no good, I just think he's being overrated. I don't think clubs would offer up enough for you to even entertain giving him up. Yes some key forwards take awhile to develop but time has shown you can strike gold with later picks. I would rather take a punt on someone that would come cheaper, just my opinionA bunch of very unknowledgeable football fans in this thread not understanding how key position development works.
