Amen to that brother ^^ Scooter well and truly dacked Judd tonight.

Seriously... why didn't judd get grilled to lift like shuey did last week? Shuey who had 18 touches and 7 tackles in his first final, or judd i his 10th who had 17 'bad' touches.

Can he ever play a bad game?

By my reckoning, he's played 3 in the last month. Was thrashed by Jordan Lewis against Hawthorn when they lost to them, at very best broke even with Hocking last week, and was soundly beaten by Selwood last night. But we can't have the truth intruding on Judd's propaganda.

What about the first free kick of the game, you would think that Darcy being a ruckman would have noticed that Warnock had no eyes for the ball and just jumped into Nic but no. The thing that annoyed me was Carlton got momentum early because we were expected to dominate the Centre square but they got 3 BS fee kicks in the 1st quarter at the bounce.

Gutsy effort by the wooden spooners, it was brave by Carlton but they roll the dice most of the time and being behind just made them do it more, we nearly stuffed it up by shutting down too early instead of attacking.

It looked like support for the 'throw the ball up' argument to me.

Theres a Youtube video going around about 10 or so pages back in this thread "Last 10 minutes of the semi final" or something...

It's only about 10 mins of game time, but just listen to how blatantly biased Luke FARCEY (Yes.. totally just nailed that) is. It's only 10 minutes but he is just openly cheering for carlton.

Bloke should have gone down there end of the ground with the rest of the carlton cheer squad

Re: the crowd noise in the CH10 broadcast.

That's because CH10 are spitting the dummy for losing the broadcast rights next year. They are no longer broadcasting any matches in HD. So the 'surround sound' effect mics are not setup to capture the crowd noise. Unlike fox.

To add insult to this... the 2011 grand final, the pinnacle of the Australian sporting calendar will not be broadcasted in HD.

Darcy one again on the monday night show tells us all how brave those blues were.

I simply dont understand what it was about the blues performance on saturday that was more brave then any other losing team. Can anyone explain?

Agree but there is one consolation in all of this 2 more weeks and they are gone forever pity they did HD first for AFL

you forget the westcoast eagles team is filled with super robots from the future here to take over the world thru afl.

seems obvious

Interested in this also. Haven't watched one week at a time but can't wait to see what Walls says.

Why were Blues so much more brave ? They got a 4 goal head start and couldn't even keep it for a quarter. We never gave up and kicked 8 in the next quarter. That's braver, blues did nothing. They fought hard, we fought hard. Typical bullshit tbh.

Note at 11 seconds you can see Gaff jumping up and down after getting free. Hurn passes to him, he spots someone up or goes to a contest and we never even discuss how close the blues got.

Don't point that out, now I feel somehow nervous again.

I watched One Week At a Time and Footy Classified tonight and found it slightly worrying that FC provided a better (aka talked about both sides) report on Saturday's game than OWAAT, considering it normally focuses more on the off-field stuff.

Quarters, Wallsy and Darcy only wanted to talk about Carlton, and I presume they only talked up Kennedy because he used to play for the Blues. Absolutely terrible coverage, they all deserve to be sacked.

Well, for once he did get something right that I actually agree with him:eek::eek::eek::eek:

We were on our home ground, they finnished below us, we were older and more experianced by averages. We were 21 points up at the 31 minute mark? something like that. We lay down, and despite everyone (probably even the blues players) thinking the game was lost, they very nearly snatched it. Now I hate the tankers as much as anyone, but I was really really impressed with their determination in the last 5 minutes. In fact, that was the most hardcore game I have seen the modern blues play.
At no point did they lay down tools. It was a better performance than any other losing finals team so far IMO.

My 2c Seds:thumbsu:

^^ I reckon that's 100% spot on slats.:)

I was watching it in bed with the wife - and after the "wrap up" of the Carlton game, Quarters said something like - and next we talk about the Hawthorn V Sydney game

My wife turned to me and said - "How come they didn't mention the eagles?"

I laughed a little.

The one positive was that Walls did not whinge about the result or free, I thought he was reasonably gracious.

Also funny the difference in perception about our crowd. Roos said he felt that our crowd had a festive atmosphere that even though we were parochial we still gave the other team some respect (not sure of the exact wording). Quarters said there was trouble outside subi between eagles and carlton supporters and they basically said "it is like that over there".
