I'm disgusted. What a disgraceful club we have become.

I kinda enjoy the melts. Most of the people who are bemoaning the club at the moment will disappear the moment we come even remotely good. Sure, we're at a low point, but we just have to enjoy the ride.
Enjoy the ride, you say?

I said pre season we needed to win one or both of our first two games because we have an eight game stretch where we will lose and it seems I was right there. Thankfully GWS were banged up playing in 40+ degree heat in round 1 otherwise we'd be winless right now.

I still think we'll win a handful of games in the second half of the season, we'll finish above Hawks and North at least.
Yep. 100% Good call.

The pre season was all too much good news TBH.

I do believe that the extra work the guys did in pre season is contributing to these injuries.

Maybe if we took it easy during pre season we wouldn't have injuries but we'd have a blah blah season mid table and mid picks

We need high picks like crazy

Getting change at the top will depend on money and profits. Nisbett will never really resign. He will always think that only he can do the job. The Board will have to remove him.

And what the Board does will depend entirely on money. Whilst the money flow is uninterrupted for them and the WAFC they will rather the devil they know and keep going for the muddle through with Nisbett option.

But if it starts to look like memberships will drop off a cliff by 30% plus and they need to create change to give supporters a reason to renew then Nisbett will be in trouble.

They will be doing focus group and market research on that already. Gauge the mood. Decide on what the sales pitch will be 2024 and how many members might jump off.

Take the good with the bad. It’s hard when it’s happening, and we’re absolute garbage currently, but we’ve proven many times, that we bounce back quickly, and don’t stay down for long. It’s easy to overreact and want to sack everybody, but that’s what minnow clubs do. We’ll stick fat, cop some beltings, and it’ll mean little when we win our next flag.

I don’t understand the mentality of the fan boys on here. We have the worst list on the AFL.

Do you really want to keep going with the same people in charge who got us here?

Do you really think they are the best people to fix things?

Do you really think they are not conflicted in their thinking by being involved in the decisions that led us here?

Do you really want no review into any of the departments or operations will of the club? Because the people in charge don’t want one. So if you support them then you support the position of No Review.

Where's the heart. Where's the spirit.

Never in our entire existence have we been so pathetic. The club needs to hold its head in shame. The coach needs to be replaced. Simmo you had your chance but your done.

The board need to be removed and replaced. Nisbett you been hanging around for too long. It's time to stand down so we can get a president that will actually do what's required. A review urgently needs to be done across the entire club.

West Coast Eagles what was once a great club that pride itself on being a winning successful club has become such a irrelevant spineless laughing stock of this entire comp.

How the hell can our players and staff go out there week after week thinking this is acceptable. No excuses. It's time for a complete change in management starting with our board and president. Nisbett it's time to retire if you can't do the right thing and sack Simmo
Get a hold of yourself. Pathetic melt.

Genuine question: Are you eyes painted on? Because you clearly are oblivious to many of the changes that have been made.

You can't expect those changes to make any meaningful difference for the next season or 2. That's how the system is designed.

The fan boys as you call them will have exactly the same effect on the club hierarchy as your perpetual melts do.
Sweet FA.

You say it like it's a foregone conclusion "enjoy the ride" "the moment we become good"

But "becoming good" doesn't just happen.

Been happy to say we've shown fight this year and fought every game. But not tonight. We threw in the towel and rolled over, just like the Geelong game last year (and year before) and the Sydney game last year or year before. And the Richmond game. It's a far too often occurrence in the last 2/3 years that has become accepted on the premise that "it happens" and "we'll get better one day" but with no consequences or repercussions on anyone responsible for all too common, all time pathetic performances.

We've become a completely irrelevant and pathetic club that tolerates it.

It's never as good as it seems, it's never as bad as it seems.

I think it's a quote for the Dalai Lama or Kendrick LeMar ( I have no idea if that is the correct spelling and I refuse to look it up)

Either way, advice seems reasonable to me.

Thanks Simmo
We're playing a seriously undermanned group of players including a bunch of guys who are beat up and shouldn't be playing.

Vent, cool.

But it is what it is.

We actually weren’t that bad when we had all our players to choose from. In fairness the quality of opponents wasn’t exactly there over the first 3 rounds but it felt like we could’ve easily been 3-0. We were just starting to get a bit of momentum going, playing a good brand (albeit still a little sloppy) then we got nailed with a whole bunch of contact injuries and that was that.

No idea what the cause is or if anyone’s at fault but you couldn’t name any of the other 17 clubs that could go through this and not be rooted to the bottom of the ladder getting pumped every week
