Roast Luke Meehan Departs Richmond

Should Richmond look for a big bucks, top tier replacement for Luke "The Punt Rd Slasher" Meehan?

  • Yes. Club needs to be ruthless and "Pay the Price!".

  • No. We should back in Meehan and gamble our aging stars bodies, potentially sacrificing 2024.

  • No. replace with another el cheapo McGee with their online $29 P.T cert IV and cross our fingers.

  • Undecided.

Gru nobody is better at getting players right for a full pre-season than Meehanbobbymcgee. He has them lining up Green, Lynch, Gray, Colina, Pickett, Brown, Ross, Fawcett.

Also good to see Luke claiming his rightful credit for the great job he has done getting big sexy up for this pre-season:

Tom Lynch, hamstring - ruled out for the remainder of the season

"(A full pre-season for him is) extremely important. Tom's actually now missed two full pre-seasons, and even on top of that, he's missed two off-seasons. So, he's gone into the last two off-seasons rehabbing, and low level rehab. So, it's quite exciting for us to get Tom healthy at this stage of the year, so he can have a decent break, attack his off-season and do a full pre-season, which will hold him in great stead for next year and be really exciting for our Tigers supporters."

There is nobody better in the business at getting players up for pre-season. :)

The entire strength and conditioning/rehab/fitness department needs to be reviewed extensively. This should be the number 1 priority of the club. Injuries have been killing us the last few years.
Sacked all of them nothing to review here has been constant problem last 2 seasons.

We are on track to win the preseason cup as opposed to the trade cup

Campbell Grays mysterious "8 week hamstring" is now in its 7th week and currently listed as 3-5 weeks. Lynches 1-2 weeks hammy has blown out into its 9th week with the season now conceded. Ross's debacle has been nearly all season. Hopper mismanaged. We've got 5 knee recos and 6 back injuries in a squad of 44 players. Even Spiro's removal company couldn't have that many workers off for a crook back compo claim in a 5 year span.

We're about to have our biggest Draft haul in history..... if Louie's cohort stays our injury list will eclipse this year as the kids all breakdown. Benny's completely taking the p1ss by not announcing a Royal Commission into our injuries and mass sackings already........ (don't bother writing we just won 3 flags!!!! Can't stand people who seem to think that excuses all).

Pre season will be under Louie, that seems almost certain at this point

I really don’t get it, how can you have

lynch suffer 2 8+ week hammys on both legs

Gray suffer a 8+ week hammy after being in the program for 5 minutes

A number of back, calf and hammy issues

AND STILL HAVE A ****ING JOB AS HIGH PERFORMANCE MANAGER!??!

Mind boggling

How many of our players have retired due to injuries in the last 2 years whilst this dhead has been in charge? Meanwhile Farken Sidearse and Penelope look like Benjamin ****en Button.
As in players that likely wouldn't have retired if they stayed fit?

1? Naismith. A bloke who does ACLs for fun and played 30 odd games in a decade.

Adem Yze needs to be given a chance.

If umpires wont do it then we need to at least do it at this level.

Its as obvious as dog balls that we are operating at a level less than other clubs in preparing players and getting them back.

If you are not prepared to help your coach then it never works.

he shaved at least 3-4 years off dustys career

also ended gibcus career

Grimes was garbage even last year when he wasn't injured and is 33 years old. Pickett and Martin didn't retire due to injury.

So just Naismith...
grimes became garbage when louie took over ... coincedence

I reckon our game style shortened careers. Our peak years were some of the toughest footy played.
Pendles & Sidearse wouldn’t be playing now if they actually hammered in like our boys. Dangerflog is the only real outlier I reckon, but even there, he chooses when he wants to crack in. (I.e. not when it mattered)
