I must admit I'm more of a fan or brilliant acts of skill than flukes but let's be honest, you're going to see more Buddy like goals than Dunn like goals over the years. It was 10x better than Lloyd's effort but I reckon there are other contenders who could knock it off.

999 times out of 1000, a footballer would have taken possession, and tried to pass to a teammate or have a shot. To me, it just looked like Dunn had a brainfade, and had a low-percentage hack at the ball when it was the last option he should have chosen.

The fact that he fluked the goal doesn't make it goal of the year. I'd be amazed if his coach was impressed.

buddys was definately goal of the year. although there was a goal lecras kicked against essendon where he followed up from like 3 or 4 efforts beforehand, wouldnt be surprised if something like that won it.
