You do realise that those name-tags the Jehovah Witnesses wear don't traditionally have the words "Welcome to Hungry Jacks, I'm...bellzy" written on them.
I would've thought they'd say..."If your going to slam the door in my face, please give me enough time to step back".

Those damn Jehovah's must cost us a fortune in Hospital fees...

My wife is from Country NSW - Rugby League heartland but for some reason she was a Union fan. She had to no choice to support the Roos but always threatens to support the Bombers (once she realised I can't stand them) - just to stir me up! Got her a membership this year so all good.

Got her Nephew who still lives in country NSW a Roos jumper for his 1st Birthday (which was GF day) and he wore it down here when they caught the train down. Some smart arse conductor said something along the lines of "poor kid, he should barrack for a decent team".

And finally was at another 1st birthday (all my mates are having kids!) and there was a couple who had moved from the UK and the husband was asking about AFL and who he should support. There was me, a bombers fan and 2 demons. To begin with we were all going for it, but soon the 2 demons dropped off and gave up (not surprising really).

In the end I think he was leaning towards the Roos. Need to do some follow up work.

Great work mate. Get those Poms on board an we'll give you an official HOORAH!

I've said this before but, in the spirit of this thread, I'll repeat it........

I convinced my then GF, now fiance, to switch allegiances from The Adelaide Crows to the mighty NMFC. When we first met she would say how huge her GF nights were in '97 and '98 blah blah blah. Now she says "WE really should have iced the '98 GF by half time, if only we'd kicked better than OUR 2 goals 11 points in that second quarter!!"

She's now as devoted as she'd have been had she been born in bloody Fogarty St!

T'toes

Will have a new member within the next week or two when it pops out. My eleven year old daughter is a member too, brings out her singing bear and flag everytime we play. Wifes' family are ardent melbourne fans with her uncle who played for em but no way was she going to barrack for the demons. I dont even have a land rover!??
