No, but most terrorist attacks are done by muslims. That’s just a sad fact. And with the hatred against Israel and Jewish people at the moment it’s a sensible question. And one of the top questions media kept asking is was this terrorism. The guy looks middle eastern with a beard so if we want extra sterotypes in there

Australia’s worst massacre was Martin Bryant. New Zealand’s worst was a white supremacist.

It is not a sensible question to jump to whether a mass attack on people is a result of one ethnic group. And basing such a judgement on stereotypes such as how someone looks is disgusting.

The media kept fueling this rubbish despite police shutting it down early.

'Good guys' with weapons kill people too. Even well trained police officers make mistakes and accidentally kill people in stressful situations. Why would anyone think of arming mall security after this one incident??

No by chance a police woman who was not meant to be patrolling the shopping centre stopped him. After many people were stabbed. It cannot be disputed that if someone was there with a gun it would have ended earlier. Imagine the guy with the bollard at escalator had a gun. Case closed.

Utter rubbish. That policewoman was a senior inspector with significant training, evident in her actions not just in getting him but in the way she handled it afterward.

There is absolutely no way to suggest that an individual with a weapon could have handled this properly. They could have shot the wrong person. They could have accidentally caught people in crossfire. They could have missed him repeatedly. They could have had their weapon taken by the perpetrator. We do not want inexperienced people waving guns around.

We know that even inexperienced police stuff up royally in situations like this. The general public and security guards are even more inexperienced.

Create a whole new set of problems and killings in order to possibly maybe avoid a rare freak incident occurring again? No thanks. If this started happening regularly then you might have to arm security, but not after one incident. It will do more harm than it will prevent.

Plenty of mass shooting/murder events in Australia have been committed by non-Muslims.

Armed security won't have stopped that. Anyone can go to a aisle in Woolworths stab 10 people and no security in sight. I know tots hassle but if it was tto prevent event like this I'm happy for the little inconvenience.

Media/police reporting on non white terrorism tends to be misleading due to concerns over racism/bigotry. The question will be asked till a definitive statement on the motive is made.

Racial hate towards the chinese? Maybe amongst your friendship group based on your post above but as someone who has alot to do with them it’s absolutely not something I’ve come across. (Except in Queensland)
