Sounds goodOne other thing that needs to be done is that each round is reverse order of the previous round.
1-18, 18-1, 1-18 etc. This makes things equal.

I'd leave it as 1-18 all the way through, enough known talent
Unless you happen to have pk 9
Either scenario is similar, especially given the known quantityThen the advantage goes to those who get the luck of the draft draw.
Traditionally we have done the reverse order.
1, 36, 37, 72 vs 18, 19, 55, 56
Or
1, 19, 37, 55 vs 18, 36, 54, 72
The former is for the first person and the last person obviously. Those in the middle balance out similarly.

I agree, I think this is the best system for fairnessIt's 17 picks apart in every situation. Think about a round of midfielders. Would you want a shot at the best or the 18th best? At least doubling up at the end of the round gives you first shot at the next best player.
It literally makes the choices virtually even as far as they can be. It's not wooden spooner vs premier. It's empty side vs empty side.
If only this (aka snake method) was suggested in the thread's first response...One other thing that needs to be done is that each round is reverse order of the previous round.

Are you building a list for right now, or sustainable success and balance?
Be happy to add something like that at the end, but for the time being just happy doing something to pass time where people get to build a team and opinions can be posted in the thread
How many more to go
