...this thread has shown 'Pies supporters as the the total flogs they are.

You on the other-hand, are completely responsible for your idiocy.

I'm no fan of Milne, believe me, but Malthouse and especially Licuria were way out of line.

You absolutely cannot have a situation where coaching staff and/or auxiliary staff mouth off (or worse) at opposition players up close during breaks. It's a recipe for disaster. The players are accountable for their actions too in these situations, but the AFL has to come down especially hard on the non-playing personnel who act in this manner.

On the TV coverage you could clearly see what Licuria said and it was very fortunate that an all in brawl didn't break out. The AFL would have a huge mess on their hands if non-playing personnel were involved with an incident of physicality. :thumbsdown:

It would be interesting if any journalist has the balls to find a couple of lip reading experts to back up what was said. If you want to sell newspapers I'd suggest this would hold front page for a couple of days at least.

If a umpires microphone picked it up then Buckly could be coaching next week whilst Malthouse sits in the stands with Eddie.;)

It has been alleged Malthouse called Milne a rapist, actually shouted it in fact whilst pointing at him. Well that would be just as bad as calling a player a drug cheat, or a wife basher with no evidenece to back it up. Its slander on the national stage and totally unprofessional.

no problem if a player does it, but its an issue when a coach does it. certainly wouldnt see lyon doing it.
