Our game plan is based on relentless pressure and contested footy, in fact we're probably the best in the league at it..
Saints and Cats have not only beaten us in finals but in regular season & even bloody NAB cup games (like they mean something?),

they've had our measure for a while but that is expected because they're a couple of years ahead in their development and experience... but I think we've bridged the gap considerably this year as our players have matured.

It's ironic that an Adelaide supporter is giving us advice on what it takes to win finals footy... how have you guys gone under Craig after all?

not how well u do during the season, and given our record is set and safe with 2 from 2 i guess we can offer u some guidance

well knocking us off in 3 finals campaigns is awesome on ur account, no question on that there, then again its the best u can muster, yes under craig we havent really gone all the way, back to back prelims is the best we can muster, yet in craigs defence he was part of the coahing panel that won us the 97 and 98 flags.

look no discredit or disdain to the pies, wait till u have it won or at least have the prelim all sewn up.
u have been up and about for the last 5 years

2006 finals campaigns u were tossed out by the dogs, the following year the cats got u in the prelim, the year after it was thanks to the saints and then there was last year again to the cats.
been top of ladder doesnt guarantee u the flag

Has Mick Malthouse outstayed his welcome at Collingwood? Going into the 2010 season he is the longest serving coach without a premiership in the league. Has he under acheived with the resources that he apparently has at his dispoasal?

Also with Buckley set to take over what sort of emotions are running through the minds of some of the players he played with? Its no secret his attitude to some of these players was less than favourable. Surely these blokes know the writings on the wall for them at seasons end. Buckley will be keen to stamp his own game plan and rules and players like Davis Didak Fraser Medhurst may find themselves out the door. Time will tell but interesting times ahead as he takes the reins.

The urgency of having 2 years left brought out the best in Mick. Partnership a resounding success.

Id rather delve into Matty Knights at the Bombers, where there looks
to be a real problem..

Friction between Malthouse and Buckley? Isn't it Eddie and Malthouse that have the friction? Did you not see Buckley on The Club state that he 100% agrees with Malthouse?

Malthouse did coach his contract out - he did not take up the director of coaching position though

Matt Knights is not the coach anymore, yes?

Which one did he get wrong?

Also, it is a bit rich you visiting a thread that you started where you argued essentially that Collingwood were dead in the water in a year we were Premiers. In fact, one might say, that you were wrong on all counts.

If that is what you meant though, that you were wrong on all counts, then I withdraw this and apologise. As a well-known Collingwood hater I assume that is not what you are saying though
