ETH gone.

Possible new managers for United:

Southgate
Potter
Gerrard
Lampard
Rooney
Ronaldo player/coach
SAF

You just know that in typical Steven Gerrard fashion, he will slip up by misreading a £20m offer as £2m and reject it.

First thing about Amorim that is absolutely clear is he has 1000x more personality and charisma than Ten Hag. That doesn’t guarantee success, but it’s a start. He looks like he’ll be able to handle the media at least.

But the first thing I’d be doing if I was him is get rid of Van Nistelrooy. Every time he speaks he’s practically begging Amorim to keep him around, it’s so awkward. You’re one of the greatest players of your generation, have a bit of a respect for yourself!

But we were told INEOS now had the structure in place and they were a serious contender again.

Keep ETH then sack him months later, chase this guy from Newcastle and get rid of him months later. It's almost like this Jim Radcliffe fellow had **** all idea to begin with.

Extend ETH’s contract in the summer. Sack him a few months later, like every football supporter in the world knew would happen.

Head hunt Dan Ashworth for months, the two clubs nearly end up in court during the process, he leaves a few months later “by mutual consent”.

As much of a rabble that Manchester United is, working at the club would have to be like having the greatest job on earth. My favourite is all the times the club have given a manager an extension, thus increasing his future payout. In ETH’s case, that was only 3 months after the club extended him. 🤦‍♂️

Think it was to do with he wasn’t on the same page as everyone else, and he wanted Southgate after ETH.
How do you not realise he's not aligned with the club way of thinking during the hiring process though?

Something seems incredibly off about this.

That’s very bizarre. Particularly with the level of negotiations to pry him out of his previous appointment, the delayed start date, all the attempts to find a replacement for ETH to then only laughably extend his contract then sack him a few months later.

Very very strange goings on at United that you would associate more under the watch of the Glazers. However to have this occur in the opening few months of the INEOS participation is baffling.

Or maybe INEOS are just not that good after all. Since they bought Nice the club has finished between 5th and 9th, basically what they were before.
