Everyones too easily pleased with these 2. They should be winning a Brownlow each by careers end but at this stage they would struggle to make the top 10 based on t his years performances

Thought id bring this topic back up for discussion. Apparantly Bryce Gibbs has been dropped and although he looks a bit proppy its fair to say Marc Murphy wouldnt be too far behind him in any case. Both have been shocking this year. How Carlton are 8th is a mystery to me
Do people want to re evaluate the opinion they have on these two or should we still treat them as gods little gifts to football?

Gibbs has been played out of position and Murphy has struggled through injury this season - he missed a lot of the pre-season and some games year from the same problems.
They were both excellent in 2009, Murphy finished quite high in the Brownlow from memory and perhaps things haven't quite worked out for them this season.
Both very good players who I think can and will still improve.

Gibbs & Murphy came equal 9th in the 2009 Brownlow Medal, along with Nick Reiwoldt
Because of injury Murphy had almost no pre-season, Gibbs is either out of form or carrying an injury ... and you scroll through the BF website to pull out a thread from 2 months back to bag them?
What do you do? Simply hang out, waiting for players to fail so you can jump on their grave when their form drops off?
Really says something about how much the Brownlow means hahaha.
But hopefully this will be a wake up call for Gibbs, reckon he'll be a better player than Murph by the end of their careers.

They both finished in the top 10 last season.
they only finish top 10 in the brownlow and high in the carlton best and fairest because besdies judd and fevola (last year) there isnt much else to take votes off them.
