Does anyone else have tips for avoiding attacks from other players btw, I held a fake item box behind me, but i still got hit with a red shell :confused: does holding weapons behind you no longer protect you from attacks?

The single player isn't too bad. 50cc and 100cc work well, but the AI in 150cc is just mind boggling.

The Wii-Wheel works well. It's probably just me talking from experience, but i find using the motion controls a lot easier than using the Wii-mote/nunchuck combination. I played quite a bit of Need For Speed: Carbon using motion control.

It is still a fantastic game. Brilliant actually.
I would pay $100 in an instant for just the online multiplayer component - thats how good it is.
 
What do you have to do to use your Miis in a race?

Ive seen some people online with their and I cant wait to take Hulk Hogan out for a spin.

What's different between 50, 100cc and 150cc?

I'm not sure if there's different lengths to the courses in the higher cc's.

The karts and bikes are faster and harder to control the more CCs, so you are punished more for controlling errors (i.e. you will go off the track).

All online races are in 150cc.

The AI cheats, always has in Mario Kart. In 150ccs opponents get a lot of very good items, and get much much better at using them. You can be in front most of the race and get hit with one blue shell in the last lap never to recover.

I've only had 100cc.

As for the game, I can honestly say this is my favourite Mario Kart - in fact, the first one which I haven't been disappointed by. I never owned MK64, but I couldn't see what all the hype was about after playing it, when I felt CTR was the superior game. MKDD was ordinary - single player sucked, MKDS was better, but not great.

MKWii - I'm really liking the Wii Wheel, plus I had very low expectations coming in, and a great online, has seen me really enjoying the game.

You forgot the SNES version, that was the shit!!! Especially for battle, they are still yet to nail the battle on versions since IMO. It's nice to play some of the old snes battle tracks on the Wii version but its just not the same.

I remember being awesome at the snes and 64 versions but as much as the new one rules, even though I've had it for nearly a month I seem to really suck and its killing me!! I am sure it would be easier without the wheel but I wanna stick with it....
 
Just got this game today, great so far!

Finished second in my first online race, was half the trak behind at one point.

For some reason I keep pressing A at the 3. 2. 1. thing, oh well.
