Mark & Goal of the year

Boulderdash. I can't even recall many of the mark contenders this year, so stunning were they, but I definitely recall thinking when I saw the replay of Gill's mark "great, but not the best this year"

When I saw Lloyd's mark I thought "What's all the hype about? Not even close"

Gill's mark doesn't even come close to Lloyd's

Gill's mark doesn't even come close to Lloyd's

Have you seen Gill's? They're both very different marks.

Llyod's was into and over a pack in dry conditions, Gill's was a leap over an opponent in wet conditions where he took the mark over his head.

Obviously I want Gill to win, but saying Gill's mark doesn't come close is a bit rich.

Llyod - MOTY

Rioli / Betts - GOTY

People have forgotten about Bett's wrong side Banana under extreme pressure, If you've ever tried to kick one underf similar circumstances you'll understand. And Rioli beat 3 tigers to get that snap off with one arm pinned

As much as I hate him, I'd say Lloyds was MOTY. Motlops was goal of the year in terms of degree of difficulty. He was also much more worthy of All-Australian than Paul Medhurst, but I suppose you have got to put in one of Collingwoods players to shut Eddy up.

I actually think Eddie Betts left foot checkside on the run and on the boundary was goal of the year - of all of the great goals kicked this year I reckon it had the highest degree of difficulty.

Rioli MOTY/GOTY double! will happen:)

his mark dopesnt look so good on replay, but he got enormous height on the enitial jump.

His goal is the only deliberate contezted one. McPhee was a complete fluke, even my essendon supporting mates have said it. the other ones are nearly all uncontested.

I think goal of the year could go to either Harvey, Betts, Mcphee, either Motlops but i would choose Rioli's

You could probably guess who I would say for mark

His goal was the only deliberate attempt? Sorry, that's just plain wrong. He was clearly trying to centre it to McGlynn who was all alone in the goal square. His goal was a mixture of luck and skill just like the rest of the contenders. As for Rioli winning mark of the year - you're having a laugh, enough said.

Uh - watch the McPhee goal again, he had 2 players in his face when he kicked it. Fluke? Who cares? He was aiming for the big sticks and it went through.

motlop should have won GOTY last year I still can't believe a ****ing back heel won ****ing GOTY absolute farce!

Davis for me this year I thought it was Suberb!

as for GOTY Gill wet contions massive leap over a guys head takes the grab above his head! was Sensational!

does aaron edwards semi final from last year count, if so, Him for MOTY and Motlop, boomer or Davis for GOTY

No it doesn't but that mark was the reason they implemented the finals rule, but only applies to the year its taken in.

edwards in last year's semi for MOTY.

leon davis easily best GOTY - completely unbiased - had it all - tackle, collection, evasion and shot diffculty. only potential challenger rioli as it included a few of those features.
