Could Bomber go down as the games greatest?

Quite possibly. The work he has done with this side since taking the over the reins from Gary Ayres at the end of 1999 has been nothing short of phenomonal. The attacking brand of football they play now is synonymous with premiership teams, and there's no doubting that they are good enough to go all the way! :)

Most likely not, he will never be up there with the greats of Chooker Mclean, Slyvia and Nathan Jones. Mark my words.

Depends, if we can win this year and go on to win 2 or even 3 flags in a row I think the city of Geelong with build a Bomber statue, a bomber palace and even name small sections of the town after him. :thumbsu:

*yawn*

Geelong; where do I start? They won't win the flag, cannot perform in finals, are chokers and it is because of posters like The X Factor that it will be sweeter to watch your joke af a 'town's football team fail when it matters...time and time again.

Have a nice day :)

you're becoming very dull.

your role models were smart and at times funny. learn from them.

I think you're going too far there.

I have great respect for geelong but he needs to do a lot more than that.

Ever heard of keeping a lid on it?

Seriously, what have the cats done? Won a pre season comp and a couple of home games. Get some perspective on the situation. Yes, as a geelong supporter I think we've got a great side. Yes, I think we can go all the way. But putting a post up like this trying to make converts of all the other Big Footy members is just an exercise in futility and makes cat fans look arrogant.

So just keep a lid on it, sit back and enjoy the year and THEN, if things go well, you can tell everyone "i told you so"

This is the sort of stuff you talk about long after the event. At this point in time the Cats have done nothing.

oh yay, another cringeworthy thread. Come on man, we put the premiership cup in the cabinet last year before we won it, and then proceeded to fall into a monstrous mid-season slump. Lets just hope for the best this time, hubris will get us nowhere.

Well said kiddo, it's good to be excited but the X Factor is just a wally, for lack of a better term.

The answer will be "no" because it's only one premiership.

This team is a mirror image of Saints 2004. Pre season cup and 10 wins in a row, including several 10 goal + thumpings, the first being Geelong. And Cats were p'ship favourites for a couple of weeks last year. Don't get too excited!!!! :D :D :D

But unlike the Saints, Geelong have not been true cellar dwellers and have not had like a hundred number one draft picks!!!!!!! ;) :D

If Geelong win a premiership, we have earnt it, due to great drafting...

If St Kilda do, they haven't, due to their abundance of priority picks! :)

Do your homework mate. Saints have had one priority pick, albeit a magnificent one.

In all fairness, we're playing much better footy now than we were then. Last year we played lazy footy and got by on talent alone, this year we're playing like we did in 2004, only with a better squad, a much better squad.

I'm not trying to be cocky, but there's a reason why Geelong are the flag favourites. Since we lost that game to Melbourne last year by a point the boys have been working hard and hence, have only lost one game since (everyone knows which game that was ;) ), I for one am a lot more confident this year than last year. In fact I'm actually confident this year, unlike last year when I knew we were being lazy.

this is just about as bad as X-Factor's post. you've won 2 games at home!
against crap opposition. If you face the facts, the lions and roos will be lucky to make the finals and if they do, will just be making up the numbers.

gonna love to see you guys crumble right about after round 4. watch the cats fans all go silent in a few weeks time
