Even this match simulation stuff is a bit silly today given the line-ups. You want to train to protect a lead but then you don't have a Pendlebury, Mitchell, N Daicos, Crisp or half of the backline to actually lock the ball down or keep it out. I get it's to train the young lads the scenarios as well but it just seems a bit pointless.

One of the funny parts about today is how whenever we do anything they make sure they say it's just match sim. But when North do something it's "they've been solid today"

Well its true. Kangaroos have 2-3 of their best 22 missing. We had 10. De Goey, IQ & both Daicos boys played under 1/2 a game, Cameron & Cox played 1/2 a game. All of the Kangaroos better players played the entire game to support their youngsters. Kangaroos were playing for a lot more than we were.

I would think that after training all pre-season and being told that everyone has a chance of a spot in round one, that some of the younger players would have shown something. But as it ends up, we cant wait until our senior players get back into the team.
