Hey Liverpool fans, is Moreno a reverse Downing?

If all he does is attack then perhaps he should only be used as a winger?

I wouldn't mind this, but that would need a change of formation and that's Klopp wont do to just for 1 player to fit into a side better. Fact is Moreno is the most over rated player in our lineup and teams are going to try and expose him if we keep on playing him.

There's some shocking heads running around for Liverpool, those top knots are awful.
Sometimes during the game I wished I had a pair of scissors and just chopped Firmino and Morenos off.

Saw the highlights, had a good old chuckle, what the hell are they thinking?

Cracking free-kick from Coutinho, and Mane's goal was insane. Ox also had a brilliant solo effort.

Liverpool may be there abouts this season, Klopp certainly building his own side.

Who did you have out? Can barely count Sturridge these days as he misses more than he plays.

Ozil and Koscielny were huge losses, and Giroud too when you look at the alternatives.

I'd like to think had we been at full strength, we'd have won.

Wasn't comparing. More making the point that Arsenal should be in a position where they aren't an excuse. A CL club with money at home against a mid table club as everyone likes to point out, injuries shouldn't matter. It's a dig at the manager/club not the supporters or who they have on the pitch.

Rubs off on some of the fans I've noticed too compared to other years. All talk about the missing players being the only reason they lost, you'd like to think they would be expecting to beat us regardless given we had won like once ever there. Plus we had 5 first teamers out too.

We were essentially missing our first choice spine with none of Karius, Matip, Sakho, Can (only played 15-20 mins) or Sturridge starting the game, Milner out too. Neither team are playing at 100% yet, and both can make excuses/point to key players and potential new signings that will improve their performance level in the coming weeks relative to the rusty albeit very exciting display we saw last night. Fortunately, we now have options to cover most of those missing players and that depth was probably the difference between the 2 sides.

I think of greater concern to Arsenal should be that for the 3rd time in 4 seasons they've not been at the races and had their pants pulled down at home on the opening day.

16/17: L Arsenal 3-4 Liverpool
15/16: L Arsenal 0-2 West Ham

14/15: W Arsenal 2-1 Crystal Palace
13/14: L Arsenal 1-4 Aston Villa
12/13: D Arsenal 0-0 Sunderland
11/12: D Newcastle 0-0 Arsenal
10/11: D Liverpool 1-1 Arsenal

1 win in 7 years, with 6 of those games coming at home, most of them games Arsenal would have been expected to win. Is that a personnel problem, or a mentality problem?

It was a poor giveaway from Lallana but Moreno was horribly out of position. FB's push up and offer width when a teams in their own half, not bringing the ball out of defence, not to mention that Lallana wasn't even facing that direction. Clyne, who is a much better full back, didn't go sprinting off and the ball was on his side of the pitch, he held his position, which is what Moreno should have done.
The ball was initially on his side so he'd started his run. If Clyne had offered an option and Lallana hadn't of turned into trouble, they may not have lost the ball.

Not a melt, just angry and frustrated and rightly so. Wenger does sit on his hands.

However I disagree with his opinion of Arsenal finishing outside the top 4 this season, if one thing is a certainty every season it is Arsenal inside the top 4.

it's remarkable how complacent wenger has become. there have been so many excuses and reasons given for his benefit that he's just a walking excuse book. and arsenal have some of the weakest, spineless board members around. they don't take risks, they play the averages, pocket their cut of the money and go on year from year, even amid rising discontent.

they do just enough to maintain the status quo, and hope they get lucky with other top teams falling apart. well, that happened last season and they still didn't win.
