to be honest, i thought boyle was quite good for a guy who has missed a month of footy. kicked one, set up another 2-4. took a couple of strong grabs too.
and that last comment re fletcher and ryder somes up why essendon will struggle for the next five years. fletcher looks great when he doesnt have an opponent, and although he will be a good player, ryder has hardly touched it since round 5.

Llyod wasn't switched on today. It doesn't look good for your team when you're getting beat all over the field and your captain is in the goal square out of the play. I think Llyod just got frustrated with being in this position today.

There was one piece of play today that really shocked me...

Lloyd was contesting a ball and it appeared that he may have been tripped. He went straight to ground and didn't get the free kick. But instead of getting up to contest, he lay on the ground with his back to the play and turned his head and watched the umpire and the contest for several seconds.

The replay showed that the umpire was probably right to continue play.

Now going to ground to win a free has become a part of the game, but laying there watching others contest the footy in protest (or still trying to win the free) is a disgrace. I lost a lot of respect for him today, as a senior player and the captain of the club, he should have been straight up and helping out his team mates.

Oh and I wanted the Bombers to win today too, before anyone sees this as bagging him (the team) for any personal reasons.

Agree- He did the same thing last week against Adelaide. Sheedy should have tore strips of him for it.

What A disgrace ive never seen such bad peice of sports man ship in my life the way he tries to milk a free kick in diving, he dives when ever the ball goes over hes head or even in a tackle a disgrace of a player who is supposed to be a champion.

while i was at yesterdays game i was just blown away how bad he really is the afl should crack down on this and take this out of our game.
