Never in doubt 
Probably the most important signing we made over the off season.
Amazing turn around for a guy who looked like he was absolutely being delisted 6 months ago. Hell 2 months ago.
Huge credit it to him. He went back to SANFL and chose to work on his game rather than sooking. Even when he probably thought he should be playing and wasn't get a look in, he kept on grinding like a professional. He did everything he possibly could to give himself another chance.
Then when he got it, he absolutely took it with both hands.
I hope he now plays the rest of the SANFL finals. He should. It would be a great siggn of his commitment and that the club take the SANFL seriously.

Not sure if loyal or he is just settled in Adelaide and was offered nothing by other clubs to persuade him to up his life. Adelaide does not deserve his services and Nicks is damn lucky.

Going to be very tricky for Nicks next year.
You'd think Crouch and Dawson start as 1-2 in the midfield. Then? Is it Laird? What about the young guys? Where does Sloane fit in (nowhere IMHO)? How do we get time for Soligo? Rankine? Rachele? Dowling? Schoenberg (if fit)?
Lot's of questions.
I will say this - how incredible would it be if we manage to snag a flag with Crouch and Tex still in the side? What amazing stories they would be.

I did think when Bernie Vince came out and said that it was basically a done deal that it was probably true.Never in doubt

Yep, having Dawson in the guts allows Matt to play to his strengths and it worked brilliantly.
All the doom and gloom about our midfield, but with Dawson and Crouch as the main two going forward, Laird for as long as he’s still healthy and effective, and Pedlar, Rachele and Soligo rotating through, it’s more than good enough IMO.

I'm glad we kept him.. BUT.. next year we absolutely have to get our midfield rotations right..
Ideally we have Dawson in 90%+ of our CBAs
AND 1 of Crouch OR Laird, OR worse case scenario, Sloane/Keays
AND 1 of Rash, Soli, Peds, Ranks
We can't be suckered into running with Dawson, Laird, Crouch, or worse, Crouch, Laird, Sloane.
Absolutely need to be dynamic, and have different types of mids in every CBA, not 3 of the same.

I think Schoenberg will find it hard to get a place in the team now, unfortunately
I’d hope next year we see the three seniors (Dawson, Crouch, Laird), then some kind of combo of Soligo, Pedlar, Rachele and Rankine to round out the remainder of the minutes
Sloane should not get a single minute in there
Would love nothing more for those guys to get a flag, but it’s more unlikely than likely haha
