Nicks didn't really throw out "mathematical possibility" after losing to Hawthorn and Richmond did he?

Dunstall and (sadly) King both nailed it. We don’t have the list.
Nah, King still thinks Nicks is a good coach, has defended him all year. Our list is more than good enough at this stage to be making finals; maybe not contending for flags yet, but certainly making finals.

Look at the stats. They did a study on it a few years ago and SA was the only state that showed the ‘crowd’ had an effect on the free kick differential.
That's interesting considering this page exists.

West Coast tops the average differential vs interstate teams with +5.5, followed by WB at +4.3, and who's that in third? Oh, Carlton with +3.1.

I want a different coach, but I don't think you can solely blame Nicks for this loss. We simply just don't have the right players. The decision making and skills from these guys is appalling and its been like this for a while. I have kept faith and have hoped they would get better in this department with experience, but they have simply have stayed the same, if anything have gotten worse. This isn't coaching, it's poor list management, we've failed to recognise talent. If we remove Dawson from this team it's a very scary thought

It’s pretty obviously coaching. In what universe is player development the remit of list management?

Development is quite literally the sole preserve of coaching. Not just a little bit, every, single bit

All of it

8 or 9 wins from 10 games needed to make the finals. Given the fixture this is a feat not even the best ever Crows sides would be able to accomplish in peak form. And Chrome Dome with Nobody Home thinks it is worthy to say that in an interview.

Unfortunately I think our list managers and coaches value the wrong types of players.

Not when you’re drafting the wrong players to begin with

Our list isn't good enough to win a premiership, certainly.

However, it's a hell of a lot better than the garbage we're putting on the park at the moment.

The problem is we play too many players that we know aren't good enough and not enough of the players we don't know about one way or the other.

It's not rubbish, if ROB's not up to it in no way is Strachan the way forward into the future. We either persist with ROB in the short term but seriously attend to recruiting a young proven ruck this trade period and FFS draft a young developing ruck with eyes to the long term future.

Maybe Toby Murray can be developed by playing lead ruck in the SANFL but until now he's been purely a Forward/Ruck so he's more a chop out ruck in the vein of Himmelberg.
There’s a thread you should post in

Gotta say I'm not a Hamish hater like a lot on here ...

We seem to be terrible and helping players take the next step in their development.

If you wanna see something horrible - watch the Micd up videos of Nicks, holy toledo.

Imagine being Rankine / Soligo / Rachele / Dawson / Michalanney / Worrel / Curtin and knowing that your coaches are unable to help you improve to absolute top shelf. Looking at other club's coaching line-up and seeing the possibilities.

I'm yet to see a stat that proves that an individual recruiter is the reason for the great players a club end up with.

Could be wrong, but I think the club has bigger issues to address than Hamish.
