But Boydy (and 240volt) was almost clairvoyant at his work. Almost everything he said needed to be changed got changed.

Matt Thomas is the type of player that was surplus to needs. (ie we have younger, better players like him)
We delisted him so he could seek opportunity elsewhere.

Matt White is the type of player that we need more depth in. (ie: fast, long kick)

We've essentially turned Matt Thomas into a fast running wingman with a long kick and good goal sense.

For no cost.

Sounds like a win in my books.

Many of us identified that outside pace was lacking from our side in 2013. Short of securing Motlop or the Hill brothers, this is the next best option for us. Seriously fast and polished enough to use the ball well from long range.
Will fill a niche for us and could even improve significantly under the Hinkley/Burgess regime.

We wouldn't get him if we didn't offer 3, you're always going to have to pay slight overs to get someone to a club (we gave Monfries 4 yeah? At the time I remember a lot of people on this board being shitty about the length of that particular deal too.)

White > anything we'll get in the third + round / rookie draft. Fills a glaring hole in our 22, and is a strong, passionate man who will fit right in with our developing culture.
