Making things up again I see .....you have a penchant for this ....yes you've explained, it's an internet forum, so you can post whatever
Murphy wouldn't get a game in any other side.

Same with mchenry.

Laird wouldn't be playing midfield in any other side.

Smith would be dropped from any other club.

Judge the Coach based on the list at his disposal & expectations

Far more scrutiny on Fagan with a team expected to make the Grand Final this year

I don't think I've ever seen a Coach sacked for team riddled with injuries .....and there's zero signs he's lost the players

The expectation which he and the club set was finals this year and it ain’t happening.

God you are pathetic with your injury excuse - when we were 0-4, which basically scuttled our season, we didn’t have injuries other than Thilthorpe. And then he doubled down by playing spuds like McHenry and Murphy.

Just admit it, Nicks screwed up our season.

Fair points - but RE 2 and 3 - there is actual people responsible for those in roles at the club that need to be held accountable.

Its up to Silvers to do this.

Not really, how injury ravaged were we in the first four weeks??

RT and ?????

And who is to blame for our next group of players not being ready when injuries have hit?

Is it the coach who largely selects the same 25 each and every week regardless of form for the last 5 years?

Agree mate injuries are a massive cop out for us... We simply don't have the depth and selection has been a raffle for weeks now.

1. Injuries ....do not underestimate the flow on effect .....GEEL & GWS are losing games due to key players being out.
Outside of Coniglio, Kelly and Buckley, who were GWS missing today? Buckley's only missed one game this season (and Kelly's only missed two), so that hasn't been a regular issue.
Outside of Dangerfield, Guthrie and Ollie Henry, who are Geelong missing for tomorrow?

You don't think in those midfields, those players are not key planks ? ......GWS end up having Peatling in the Mids, and GEEL playing kids & Bowes

You might have rocks for brains. Did you pass grade 7 reading comprehension?

I'm saying those are the only key players they're missing. They aren't missing 8 or 9 best 22 players.

Everyone knows injuries happen. But Nicks job is to build depth and plan for the future. He has no choice to play young players and some out of position due to the injuries.

But last year for the 16 games he selected the exact same group of players ignoring form even after games that we lost and we did lose 50% of the time, do you think he should have looked to bring in Nank or Cook sooner? Could have played Gollant, these players could have played an extra 10 games each.

This is why its galling that he has banished Curtin to the Sanfl, could have played him for many more games and tried him in a running position, especially in games against North, West Coast and Richmond. Dowling should have played 4 weeks ago.

At some point you have to question this stuff. Cant just wander around blaming the players if the coach isn't setting the group up for success.

FREO are 107 clearances better than any other AFL Team ....Serong is the #1 clearance player in the comp, with 93 clearances ....but there's only 19 scores resulting from Calebs clearances ....and FREO are rated 10th in the league

My point is ....for all the ball Crouch gets, we don't score from them and he doesn't hurt you .....hence no-one will ever tag Crouch ...they want him to have the ball

Yep, even after a rest recently ....the 6 day break to 5 day break, was still too much

We have to remember how young some of these players are ...and how difficult being a two way mid is .....and Soligo runs his guts out, both ways

Rachele, not fit enough, and doesn't two way run .....probably because of his concerns around red lining his tank

Dowling ....that's just an unrealistic expectation
Why is it unrealistic for Dowling to attend a few centre bounces? A few minutes on ball wouldn’t do any harm.
Rachele may not run both ways currently but neither does Laird and I’m pretty sure I know who the foreards would prefer delivering to them. Again it would be for a few bounces, not whole quarters. I’m sure his tank could handle that.

Graham Cornes running with:

"Why is Tim Silvers getting heat?"
"This isn't John Olsen's fault"
"I fully support the re-signing of Nicks because if you didn't re-sign him, imagine the heat on the club"
"Too much hysteria"
"People like Stephen Rowe are not objective"
"You can query some board appointments but who cares who it is, really?"

This sums up everything. You guys realise that absolutely nothing will change even if people move in and out, right?
I'm old enough to remember (at least partially) the day when Blight cleared out the lockers and desks of Jarman, McDermott and McGuiness, and then came out to the media and said something that was like, at least similar to:

Someone has to take responsibility for what has happened with this club.

We are all fed up with the utter sh!tshow of the last 5-7 years, so according to Cornes, it's not the coach, not the CEO, not the football director, not the list, not the assistants, not the Board or President.... so what the hell is it then?

I hate to say it, but his part-time fireman son has a much better clue than this old fossil.

Seems to be slightly at odds with what we were told before the season started.

Isnt that the way

Club before season
Sign Nicks, we are finals bound we have an exciting attacking group, can't distract them

Club during season

Loses 8 games of football through the dumbest slow play negative over defensive play you can imagine, even before the half way mark.

The Club
We need shape and connection, our list of inexperienced teenagers are making us lose. We need to support Nicks more.

Oh look over there, something shiny!

The whole segment was a sensible discussion ......and I'm a cynic by nature ....or should I say suspicious

Absolutely nothing to be critical of Silvers about
Yeah, Silvers is ****ing awesome.

The Crows are ****ing awesome.

Nothing to see here as everything is ****ing awesome!

You are the official Crows information minister.

Sadly for you no one is buying this shit...

It's just a pointer to how bad a coach Nicks is.

20 CBA's to Laird.

4 CBA's in total shared between Harry, Rachelle and Dowling.

What sort of a coach would have young midfielders busting to have a crack in the centre square think to themselves "nope, I'll stick with Laird, it has worked so well for the team over the past 5 years".

The level of incompetency is off the chart.
