Is on the Ben cousins dietNine kilos... wtf?
Sounds fishy to me.
Will be very surprised if they do that. Not a good look for them or the AFLMcarthy will get fat without a proper training regime.
Also think you will find GWS will play hardball and he'll have to sit a year out, not because they want to cause the boy harm, but to make a point to folks like Colin Young - Mcarthy is collateral damage here.
GWS are making a point that they will not be held hostage to agents like Young.
I completely disagree with this. If he was so desperate to get out of there he shouldn't have signed a 3 year deal to stay. GWS have done nothing but held their player accountable for something he wanted to do.Nick Stevens is a poor comparison because the lay of the land has changed since then in that the rules governing Stevens at the time were not what they are now. Nick Stevens didn't have the option of going into the National Draft and navigating his way to his preferred home ala Luke Ball.
His only option was the PSD and lets face it, any club with a mesely PSD is going to pick up a quality player like Stevens for nothing as Carlton did at the time when they were at rock bottom and in need of quality.
Making a stand is not good business. It may look like great PR for your fans but it's poor business. Now GWS have a player who is out the door, may never come back or god knows when he will come back, his heart is not in it to give his absolute best for that club, they have a gaping hole in their key forward posts for a player who they would have as a walk up start in their best 22 and they have compromised the compensation that was pretty much overs at the time 2x first round draft choices.
You need to take the emotion out of it and do what's best for business as a football club. Keeping a player who didn't and now clearly doesn't want to be there, despite the public spin the GWS hierarchy have been pushing for months is quite simply, poor business.

Tough luck. He will quickly understand what a contract is all about. Will be very surprised if they do that. Not a good look for them or the AFL
NOBODY is saying they're not entitled to do so.I completely disagree with this. If he was so desperate to get out of there he shouldn't have signed a 3 year deal to stay. GWS have done nothing but held their player accountable for something he wanted to do.

How exactly does Freo end up with Cameron??
There will be plenty of teams that will likely finish below Fremantle that will take the chance on turning his feelings around and draft him!!!
The reality is that he more than likely is just not happy in his current environment at GWS - a club with an actual history and culture would back themselves in to make him love the club.
Gotta say, remember GWS fans dancing around saying Dogs had to trade Griff after he nominated GWS, when the shoe is on the other footy, it's all different apparently.
Before we got Bennell, Freo offered those 2 1st round picks. Again that was fair compo.Nope disagree. A forward that you lot are going nuts over. A suposed 700k payday and a contract for a further 2 years. If the shoe was on the other foot then no way would you be happy with that last year. Especially as we had our 2015 draft already covered. But lets say it eas. You used your 2015 1st on GC.There was talk of trading for StKilda but, funnily enough, freo said no to the trade ( how gastly) So where was this other 2015 1st coming from?
Did they even get a chance though? Luckily for us, Griffen has done nothing, so essentially a #1 pick player for #6 pick. I'd say we won that deal tbh anyway.I'm sure GWS would have been happy to trade him if Freo had put forward a deal comparatively as strong as what the Dogs did.

In fact Freo never made that offer. Colin Young assumed in the media that it would be the offer that would get the job done. Before we got Bennell, Freo offered those 2 1st round picks. Again that was fair compo.
Nothing Personal to you. I just find the hypocrisy in your post funny considering the Andrew McCleod for chris Groom trade.Don't mind if he ends up at Freo. The AFL needs to step in and make sure GWS gets a fair trade though. I would be livid if he somehow got to the Dockers for chump change.
He wouldn't have been worth the price required. There was nothing stopping Freo offering a deal that was in GWS' interests.
If they did, by definition it would have been accepted.
Says you! Cats offered similar than that for a far superior player to Sunshine. You need to get a grip. Massive overs for an unproven forward. Sure, he is under contract but doesn't make that much of a diference. Pick 9 and 28 is 2146. Minus pick 50 you got back leaves you coughing up 1873 points for Danger. If they coughed up pick 22 and lets say pick 19 next year, thats equivalent to 1793 points. 80 points short of Danger value on points. Keep trolling, Motley.WB paid overs for a bloke with less exposed form, who'd shown less in that exposed form.
Freo should fork up at least the 2 first rounders offered, (22 and next years 1st rounder), plus a talented young player.
Otherwise they can GAGF.
